I like them but I’m a bit tired of the same old thing.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cut in half and toss in EVOO
Mix 2 tbl each of EVOO, fish sauce and thia sweet chili sauce.
Put Brussels face down on cookie sheet and roast at 375 for about 10 minutes, add 1/2 mixture and make sure Brussels are evenly coated and cook until they are soft enough to pierce with a fork, add remainder of mix and cook for another 1 minute
Serve

I like to cut them in half. Toss in a little olive oil. Season with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Cook a few minutes in the air fryer. When they're about halfway done, sprinkle some parmesan cheese on them and finish them off.

Cut in half
Evoo…salt and pepper

Roast until crispy and toss in a good honey and balsamic vinegar mixture

Or cook some bacon and remove, start some onions then add Sprouts and cook until your liking then add the bacon back to the dish.

ETA: shave them down and make cacio e Pepe with the shaved sprouts. Really simple and delicious

Shaved salad.

use a mandolin or food processor attachment to shave the brussell sprouts. Add whatever you want. I typically use a citrusy dressing.

I will season and roast them..

Then chill them and julienne into an arugula salad with goat cheese, pomegranate, seared panchetta, and a champagne vinaigrette

I boil 6-7 toes of smashed garlic. Make “garlic water”. Little salt. After they boil for 20 minutes, add the Brussels. Par boil for 5 minutes. Throw them in a shallow Pyrex. Add two cups of cream or half/half. 1/2 cup Parmesan’s or Romano. 1/4 cup of garlic water and the garlic from the boil. Pepper, nut meg and a tiny bit of salt (cheese has salt). Broil it on high for 5 -7 minutes. I check at 5 and go until it’s a golden/amber brown. Thank me later. Take an extra cholesterol med.

Any of the suggestions in this thread could be smoked in a cast iron skillet while cooking your protein and finished at higher temp in the oven if needed.

Did that recently while reverse searing a thick steak and it was delicious.

Saw an interesting Brussel sprouts with bacon and roasted pecans recipe earlier today. They cut all the sprouts in half and put in a large baking pan with some olive oil on it. Put a bunch of crushed pecans on it and baked it. Fried about 5 pieces of bacon, crumbled or chopped them when done, then added the bacon and some of the bacon grease to the sprouts and tossed it all together.

Looked good.

This.

When you eat them raw or shave & sauté quickly, they don’t have time to develop their sulfury flavor. For salad, treat almost like a blue cheese & bacon salad. That’s pretty hard to beat. Also good with a simple lemon dressing. For quick sauté, hot pan with olive oil or bacon grease, garlic. Cook2-3 mins until just starting to wilt, then squeeze a lemon. Delicious!

Used to use a recipe very similar to this except you add a little balsamic vinegar

fry some cut bacon on the grill, after bacon is cooked down throw some onions in and cook down, I cut the bottom off, half them and take the outer layer off. Then coat in olive oil, salt and pepper and mix them in with the bacon and onions on the grill. Take them off when I can easily push a fork through.

We can't stop eating Bacon Ranch brussels sprouts.

quote:

1) Make the ranch dressing first and let it chill in the fridge to thicken until ready to use.
2)Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Add trimmed and halved brussels sprouts to a baking dish in a single layer.
3)Add bacon pieces on top of the brussels sprouts, then roast for 5 minutes.
4)Remove from the oven, then add in paprika and garlic. Toss everything together to coat in the rendered bacon fat.
5) Add back into the oven and roast for 20-25 minutes until crispy and browned, stirring and flipping halfway through.
6)Remove from the oven and drizzle with ranch dressing.
7) Top with fresh grated Parmesan cheese.

Shaved salad.

Domenica had a wonderful shaved salad with a light tasty dressing. I would love that recipe. I think it may have had some sunflower seeds. I would add toasted pine nuts myself.
