That’s because LSU was horrible against Bama.

He has never had Bama waiting for him after his bye weeks. That stat would be different most likely so that is a bit skewed. Hopefully that trend continues.

Having a bye week is not the same as having a bye-week advantage.

LSU and Alabama each have their bye week every season before they play each other; hence no advantage for either team. Same situation with Georgia and Florida. It's a wash.

Tennessee had a true bye-week advantage before playing LSU this season, and the results of that advantage showed on the field. The Vols rested and prepared for LSU the same weekend LSU was slugging it out in a difficult game v Auburn.

I like stats … a lot … but he wasn’t playing Saban after those bye weeks

What does this mean?

Our opponent always has a BYE week the same time as we do, so it's a wash. Tennessee had an advantage because they had their BYE week prior to playing us. They had an extra week to rest and prepare, hence the "advantage".

Nice work. I’m wondering if my source missed on one or if one of those scores isn’t flipped.

Probably has a lot to do with ALWAYS playing Bama off the bye week.
