Amex just went 2.35%. Jealous of that 3%

Synchrony up to 2.75%. Would expect others to follow given what Capital One did.

Now it's higher than my mortgage rate. Not too shabby.

I-Bonds are currently near 10%. You can get in before the end of the month and lock it in for 6 months
I have ibonds, I don't want to cash them out or have them in a locked period for this. I can stash cash in savings also. It's really just a luxury move so we can have a down payment before selling. I will also take that cash to invest in another property anyway, we want to get into rentals just not with our current house.

I just signed up. It was a very easy process on the website. It was pointless to have a savings account vs investing account with savings rates at 0%. 3% is a no brainer to sign up for.

Salem Five Direct and Dollar SavingsDirect are both offering 3.5% high yield savings rates. Anyone know anything about these? I need to move $100k out of USAA at a whopping 0.02% rate. Smh.

Duplicate. Sorry.

With these frequent rate changes, are y'all just moving money from account to account chasing the higher rates? Just wondering.

I can’t speak for other banks but capital one is changing the rate automatically on my 360 performance account. My old 360 account still has .80%, that’s why I opened the new account, 3% is worth the 2 mins it took to open it

I’m with Discover Bank at 2.35 but will give them a week to go to 3 or else I’m switching to 360. That 3% is very attractive.

Yes. The SaveBetter platform makes this simple as pie, and aggregates all the high rate products.
Short term treasuries are the better deal, however.

Anybody used ally bank savings? Currently at 2.35% but I was interested in the bucket system.

Changed my Cap One Money market to a Performance Savings thanks to this topic. Thank you!

AMX at 2.35%. I like AMX. Great cash back and gives you 10 basis points bonus on the Schwab Platinum Card. Look at it. I’m sold.
Capital One Card with 2% back still the best though.

Just a heads up if you use the Promo Code Fall22 before 12/14/22 when you open the account you can get a $100, $500, or $1000 bonus for depositing $10k+, $50k+, or $100k+. Gotta keep it in the account for 90 days.

I agree. Much better. The reserve funds that I’d had in HY savings accounts are now being laddered into 3-6 month bills. Later this year/early next, I’ll extend the maturities a bit.

Yep. Thanks to this thread I just opened a new Cap 360 Performance Savings at 3%. Old Confidence Savings was stuck at 0.20%.
Would be nice to see it stick for a year … or increase. Thanks guys.

Spoke with a CapOne rep today and she said they will adjust savings rate monthly as warranted. Currently 3.0% for November at least. Hope it holds or better.
Also, CapOne 360 CD is paying 4.0% on 12-month CDs. Tempted to move some into that spot.
18-months at 4.05%; 24-month at 4.10%.
