1- Retire at a young age
2- Build a self sustaining real estate business abroad in a separate currency than USD
3- Move to different areas of the world after my parents pass along
4- Learn Greek (not going well)

Considering how many friends of mine have died in the past 15 years not dying young is up there. I'd also like to be able to enjoy some healthy years without working and see the kids grow into productive adults.

1.) Retire in 15 years
2.) Sell house and get the hell out of Louisiana
3.) Move to the mountains where people will leave me the frick alone and I can fish and camp with the grandkids

This state is objectively terrible, but I can stop feeling like it’s home for some reason

You don't want to study and plot out rap beefs in your old age?

Currently finishing up my bachelors at 41. Three semesters to go. Probably get my MBA afterward. I’ll be 45 with 18 years in O&G. Not sure what I’ll do after that but I want to make enough to ensure my kids don’t have to endure the strain of a mortgage, and the sacrifices that come with it. And I’m not talking about the “going to work” sacrifices. I mean the degradation you get from shitty bosses, living in shitty places for work, etc.

Make it to next month, and if I do, do that shite again.

You sound like my 13 year old when he told me he didn’t want to go to the Clapton concert with me because he could “watch it on YouTube”.

I hate it here, but when I go someone else for a couple months, I always find myself wanting to come back. I think it’s probably just family though.
