No but from what I understand you can pay way too much money to Airbnb a house that Chip and Joanna Gaines added shiplap to.

I’m a whacko from Waco
Ain’t no doubt about it
Shot a man there in the head
But can’t talk much about it

What do you like to do? What time of the year?? Will you have kids with you? If kids, what are their ages?
Go to the Texas Sports Hall of Fame
Go to the Texas Ranger's Hall of Fame.
Tour Dr Pepper museum (Dr Pepper was invented in Waco).
Go to Cameron Park (second largest inner city park behind Central Park in NYC). Great hiking and mountain biking.
Go to Cameron Park Zoo.
Paddle Board, kayak or canoe on the Brazos River through town. Rentals available.
Go to the Farmer's Market on the square downtown on Saturday morning.
Of course, you could always go to the Silo's at Magnolia Market. You might see Chip and Joanna. Over 2 million visitors per year go there.
For older adults, take a tour of Balcones (world renowned Bourbon and Whiskey distillery). There is also a bar onsite for tastings.
Walk across the street and go to Milo's for lunch, brunch or dinner. Corey McIntyre is a huge Tiger fan. Walk to Union Hall for more food options or walk over to Pivovar's, a Czech brew pub, hotel and restaurant downtown.
Go have a Big O at George's restaurant (on most top college restaurant tours) or have Gut Pack at Vitek's BBQ (a Food Network favorite). A lot of other famous BBQ joints as well (several in the Texas Monthly Top 50 BBQ Joints). Like Jasper's, Guess Family, etc.
Great steak restaurants and locally owned Mexican restaurants as well. Skip the chain restaurants.
Too bad you can't tour M&M Mars where Snickers, Skittles and Starburst are made.
If you are lucky, you might run into George and Laura Bush, as their ranch is just outside of town. He plays golf at our Ridgewood Country Club sometimes when he is in town.
People that hate on Waco have never been here. It is thriving. It does get hot in the Summer, so best time to visit is October-November or March - May.
Let me know if you need any more information. I am LSU and Louisiana all over, born and raised in Lake Charles, but I have lived in Waco for over 36 years and we raised our family here. Welcome to Waco.

I heard the Branch Davidians still have a place around there. The only problem is you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

It’s still at the same spot. They came back as soon as the government let them. They allow visitors and there is a memorial.

Baylor football games are fun to attend.

Always stop at Czech Stop when I’m out that way.

Waco is easily a day trip, if you insist on visiting. Depending on where you're traveling from, stay in either Dallas or Austin and make the drive in. Silos, Little Shop on Bosque, Baylor, Waco Tours, Baris (Italian Restaurant), Katie's Custard (Dessert).

I think you misspelled Laura.

Then you're missing out, like most people who just stop at the most convenient place off the interstate, which was me before someone clued me in. Village Bakery is the oldest proprietor and best kolache in West.....well crap.....I was just checking the street it was on and the owner died and Village Bakery is no more. So I guess I'll start hitting Gerik's even though half the bakery was turned into a smokehouse its still more connected to czech heritage than the interstate places.
As for Waco, its a dump. Unless you are a Chip and Johanna fan, I would skip it. There is a good mountainbike trail there.
