But does Zachary's field still have ground stickers? Coach Burk said they would get rid of them when they renovated but they never did. It was always funny to watch the visiting team put their hand on the ground and yell "oh shite!".
That game was at Woodlawn. But to answer your question, ZHS has field turf.

I really like what those clips show.
he made some moves and continued to look down the field after climbing the pocket or squirting out the side. He at no point really gave up the pass u til he crossed los

Howard can be very similar to Joe Burrow in terms of running/being mobile. He's a very good athlete. He's not a statue in the pocket.
While true, you are confusing "QBs with mobility" for Mobile QBs. Denbrock loves dual threats that he can gameplan in many designed runs/read-options.
Howard, just like Burrow, is plenty athletic enough to have designed runs in the playbook and to take off when the pocket falls apart. You don't have to have 4.4 speed to play QB for Denbrock.

He has a weird throwing motion that’s going to need to be fixed. He has this wind up motion where the ball dips and comes around. Makes it a long wind up and exposed to sacks.
Lot of velocity on the ball. Can throw multiple position points. Runs well though.

That third gif looks like a Patrick Mahommes type play.

Bryce Young. I'm not sure if he has quite the arm Young has
Eh, I actually think his *arm* is every bit as big as Bryce’s—Bryce isn’t really a mahomes or Allen type firing laser beams and cannon blasts—it’s more the processing and accuracy where rickie falls short of Bryce (and that’s not even a criticism. Bryce was about as good as it possibly gets for a HS prospect in those areas).
I’m no scout by any stretch, but the biggest thing that sticks out to me as a potential weakness with Collins when I watch his tape is his mechanics on throws inside the pocket. He has the raw athleticism and arm talent to absolutely sling it on the run and off-platform, but his footwork and throwing motion seem to vary quite a bit on throws from inside the pocket. That being said, I think that’s to be expected and isn’t really his fault: His OL is absolute tissue paper—I swear there are games where he’s pressured on 75% of his dropbacks—so he’s really not getting the reps necessary to develop that consistency. Like… it so bad that part of me almost views his inconsistent mechanics in the pocket as a *good thing*—he’s already good as hell but has more “low hanging fruit” in terms of improvement than just about any other QB recruit of his caliber. If he’s a good, coachable kid, he seems like the type who could make absolutely enormous strides once he gets to campus.
The way he runs actually reminds me a LOT of jayden daniels. And daniels has the same mechanical issues. The differences are (1) we will have the chance to coach Rickie up from day 1 and he will presumably be receptive, whereas JD by all accounts went the first 3 years of his career with a “can’t tell me nothin” attitude and very little real instruction, and (2) Rickie seems to have no fear of throwing into tight windows.
I think a fully-actualized Rickie Collins looks a LOT like how jayden daniels looked this past weekend against Florida.
Tl;dr - Rickie’s arm is just as good as Bryce’s; it’s accuracy and consistency in the pocket that set Bryce apart. Rickie doesn’t have those things yet, but his OL is so bad that he hasn’t really even had a chance to develop them. Once he gets some stability he could blow up.

Never seen JD interviewed, I presume? That’s not his attitude at all.

Take a chance on Collins lol. Exactly what he need to clean up? Put him on Zachary team and Eli on Woodland.

Eli is the best Louisiana qb in this years class. Collins is a good player and would benefit from better coaching/team.

Not questioning just stating the facts as I know them!! I volunteered for 3 years and was called coach! I do know a little bit but don’t hitch your wagon to my opinion because that’s not my calling! Now if need want to know about process improvements then I may know a thing or two

When it comes to recruiting you are actually taking a chance on all the kids

Are you talking about interviews now or when he was at his last school?
I’m genuinely asking because I haven’t seen interviews before LSU.

It’s just hard, Josh Allen - physical traits galore, but Wyoming wasn’t that good
Lamar Jackson contained in beat down LSU Bowl game.
Now coached up by staff using their physical abilities, Both are NFL MVPs
CBK will play best QB who has what he thinks will win LSU football games.

Exhibit A for why future-transfer Howard will never get a starting snap under Denbrock.
Ill ban bet you that howard starts multiple years for LSU
Also he runs a verified 4.6

I posted that earlier in this thread and collected a couple of downvotes but no comments. Yeah, he will never earn a dime playing football unless he cleans that up, but if he’s accurate, can read defenses, and can run he’ll have a nice college career.
