You seem to have the assumption the only thing wrong with the offense was the QB.
This season is reminiscent of 2018 when Jeaux had doubters until about mid-season when blocking improved, drops reduced and the offense gelled.

Pretty much. I don't think our current coach has given us a reason to question him, at least not on a wide scale.
That's not something LSU fans are used to

Ok.
They weren't fixed until this week. So when Kelly was mad that Daniels was screwing up so bad the last few weeks... Was Kelly a negatiger then?
Are the negatigers in the room with us now? Show me on the mascot where they touched you.
Bruh shut the frick up. Ol sour arse motherfricker. You and The Pirate King would get along just fine. Both of yall aren't happy unless you're miserable. We're a blocked extra point away from being 6-1 and our only loss to a top 5 team in BK's first goddamn year at the helm. Sit down and shut the frick up, bitch

Not even close. JB9 had never started. JD5 is 30+ starts into his college career.

So those three years don't really mean much as far as the "process" in this offense.
I do not think those three years count for nothing. Your position is that JD5 had, in effect, no starting experience. I disagree.

you've been repeating this for weeks, but Daniels had a wasted 2 seasons of pac 10s dumbass covid rules that severely screwed their football teams practices up.
Also, Daniels played well in the tennessee game, if you factor in the 3 drops he completed 81% of his passes for 300 yards on 45 attempts.
you should really learn to recognize that a QB does actually need an offensive line to put up a lot of points

He looked a lot like that during his entire freshman season.

Lets be real: Daniels took a MASSIVE leap forward in his game saturday. I can't remember a QB looking so different from one week to the next. It was night and day difference in his approach to throwing the ball. He was fearless.
Yes, let’s hope he keeps it up. Like anything, it’s easy to fall back in to what you’ve done your whole life.

Why does it take a QB in his fourth year of starting so long to "trust the process" as you say. Makes no sense to me.

Coach Kelly changing the culture.

Reason #36 you’re not a collegiate football coach.

Bottom line, these coaches know way more than the dipshit PlayStation coaches on this board could ever dream of knowing. Not a single person here knows a damn thing about running a major football program and not a single person here could call any of our games and win.
Of course there's truth to this but it's really only relevant to the type of fan who would approach Kelly at the grocery store and expect his insights to be taken seriously. Offering dipshit opinions on a message board is fine. Kelly is being well-compensated to put up with it.

This. Daniels showed improvement against Tennessee in many of the areas fans have been screaming about (getting the ball out faster, letting WRs make plays 1-on-1, not bailing from the pocket too soon, etc.) but nobody wanted to see or hear it because of the score.
We went into the game without our starting LT then lost our starting LG in the first half. We couldn’t run the ball to save our lives. Our WRs missed some opportunities to make plays. And yes, Daniels missed some opportunities. Then the score got out of hand.
Regardless, Daniels did play better last week than he had previously. What we saw this week was A) him continuing to improve and B) everything else clicking in the offense.
For some reason people are obsessed with having a single point of accountability for success/failure, particularly on offense. It’s either the QB, or the playcalling, or the OL, etc… but that’s just not reality. It’s a team game and there are a ton of little things that contribute to a quarterback’s success or lack thereof.

It's true, but people like you seem to think that JB9 and JD5 had similar experience but they did not. Can you explain JD's performance this year. He was 100% lost until the Florida game. I do not understand it as he has had plenty of experience starting as a QB.
No one has claimed the O-line hasn't had problems. A huge problem was our QB not finding open receivers which would have won the FSU game and probably made LSU competitive against Tennessee.
I hope his consistency continues. I have also said that if he could really play that LSU would be a contender. Now...piss off, mate.

That was the main thing wrong. Do you disagree?

quote:Wait one there, Ace.
Taking a half season to get competent in fielding kicks and punts isn't "seeing it differently", it is a fact of taking more time than expected.
Just say that. Own it. It's his first year. A certain amount of that is understandable, "It's taking us longer with certain aspects of offense, special teams and even defense than we anticipated." That's a grownup way to do it as opposed to gaslighting.
Are you implying that CBK doesn't "own" problems with the team's performance?
Do you think that only because his succinct and diplomatic response to a beat writers question doesn't satisy you?
Do you think that only because he didn't respond to some douche bag writer with a well thought out response that touched on every phase of his football team - and took him 60 or 45 fricking minutes to type into his computer correctly like it did you?
That doesn't seem to be a grownup way to comment on a Press Conference.
The adult at the podium knows what he's saying/doing. 32 years of experience suggests that "We see it differently" is a more than adequate response.
And look up the fricking definition of "Gaslighting" before you use it again, dumbass!
