Halloween Ends is set four years after the tragic events of 2021's Halloween Kills
Halloween Kills followed immediately after Halloween 2018 right? And didn’t Halloween Ends open up with it saying 2019? So I think 1 year has passed since Kills

The opening when Corey kills the dumb little kid was 1 year later then they jump forward 3 years.

So RLM just put out their review and Mike and Jay both liked it. My jaw dropped when they said they enjoyed it

I’m not familiar with those names but I now know to disregard their opinions

I dunno. They make a pretty good case for why I should watch it. (I haven’t seen it yet.) Kills did nothing for me. I don’t need to see yet another Michael Myers-going-through-the-motions film.
Also, to their credit, they say that Ends sabotages itself with the tacked-on ending.
What exactly do they get wrong? (I was going to wait for Halloween night to go see it in theaters. So I am still open to being convinced not to see it.)

So he's just like Christopher Nolan?

Jason X is a fun movie. I'll watch any time I stumble upon it.
You meant to say " Manhattan and Goes to Hell."

It's an awful Halloween movie. They undercut their own trilogy in places. A hugely deceptive marketing campaign that builds up a final showdown between Laurie and Michael which actually ends up as a footnote.

Any more so than what Halloween Kills did?
Edit: Feel free to go into spoilers. I have already watched the RLM video, so it has already been spoiled for me to some degree. I doubt even if it were an excellent movie that spoilers would "ruin" it for me.

As the RLM guys suggest, this seems more like a studio bet-hedge in that the movie seems to go down the road of Halloween 4 (1988) in that the evil is passed on to another person and the studio is doing exactly what they did with Halloween 5 (1989) in just ignoring it and go right back to the well for more Michael Myers.

Yes by a lot

But that was the last 5 minutes of Halloween 4 not the last hour.
And again, is he natural or supernatural? If he's passing evil on to others it's the latter but at other times they obviously don't feel that way.

So it turns out that instead of being some paragon of virtue who will protect his creative legacy at any and all cost, John Carpenter is a money grubbing whore.?

I actually enjoyed it too. No, it's not nearly as focused on Michael Myers as all the other films, but the ending fight was pretty cool to see. I enjoyed seeing Jamie Lee Curtis' character sorta evolve from the previous 2 movies.

So she spent 40 years as a crazy paranoid shut in because she was scared he was going to get out and planned her whole life around that inevitability but after he gets out, tries to kill her, KILLS HER DAUGHTER, AND REMAINS ON THE RUN she decided to develop a sunny attitude about life.

John Carpenter doesn’t own the IP.

saw this statistic in regard to michael's screen times:
Halloween Ends: 10:55 minutes
Halloween (1978): 9:37 minutes
Halloween Ends: 10:55 minutes
Halloween (1978): 9:37 minutes

This misunderstands what is happening in the original. He's stalking/watching/setting up kills constantly, he's just not on camera. The only time this new old Michael is stalking is when he's following his master Corey around and he happens to see Laurie. Also half his screen time in this one he's nailed to a kitchen island.
