It’s beginning to look like Russian Armed Forces launched, and continue to launch, massive missile strikes on every 750kV substation in Ukraine. And the nuclear plants and hydroelectric plants simply could not cope with the transfer of power.

Russia has been holding back. The neocons are probably rejoicing.

I am still surprised any of the bridges over the Dnieper are still standing.

Fighting with an arm tied around your back only invites losses and a slow escalation.

Overwhelming force on the front end? The official fight ends quickly though an insurgency can drag on.

My gosh, it's going to cost the US taxpayer a lot of money to pay for all of the clean-up and re-build after this war is over in five years.

At the end of the day, the US dollar will probably be worth about ten cents in today's money.

Yikes. Gotta laugh so I don't cry.

This plant is back online. It is controlled by Russia, so it being offline doesn’t hurt the Ukraine electric grid, but it needs electric to help keep a melt down.

quote:

The plant has been held by Russian forces for months, but operated by Ukrainian employees. All six reactors at the site are shut down but they still require electricity for cooling and other safety functions.

quote:

An external power line to Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant — the biggest in Europe — was repaired on Sunday after shelling disconnected the facility from the grid and forced it to resort to emergency diesel generators, the U.N. nuclear watchdog said.

quote:

The International Atomic Energy Agency said the 750-kilovolt line was reconnected to the plant on Sunday evening following repair work by Ukrainian engineers. That enabled the plant to start switching off the generators that had kicked in to provide it with power after the line — its last connection to the grid — was cut early Saturday.

This sentiment is so idiotic, yes they have been holding back to purposely look foolish and needlessly drag out a needless war lol

It is about time Putin reacted with a vengeance. War ends when you make war horrible.

Military Industrial Complexes like to use "nice" wars to sell weapons of war.

Wonder what a Roman chariot cost an Israeli back in the day?

Man if they wanted to flatten Ukraine they could. They thought all it would take was a partial mobilization, Putin was wrong. The USA and the west have spent billions to fight this proxy war.
