He is massively inaccurate, they skewed Boutte for missing a ball that gets caught 3 out of 10. BK correctly skewered the poor performer. A seven yard pass which was two yards off target and late. We cannot sustain drives if we cannot run plays.

But...but he is LSU's best chance to win. Actually that may be, but if so...geezus what a crap QB room.

I knew at this point why would we not give nuss or Howard a shot. It can’t be worse

He has been showing what he doesn't have for years now. He doesn't have a brain, accuracy, or the ability to be a decent QB. Team is bad, QB is atrocious, and the coaches have been abysmal as well. Long season

The low turnovers are good, the running ability is good, the pocket passing is bad. Ok we knew that coming in so why is the offense a spread, drop back 50 times a game type offense instead of an offense built to suit Daniels strengths? We can bitch about Daniels but the player can only do what he can do, the coaches are the bigger issue.

That’s just not true.

We may be talking about different passes though.

Nothing against jd as a competitor but he just isn’t good. And he isn’t improving r out to warrant letting him play more.

The premise of the original post is correct, in that we'd be foolish to believe that Daniels will materially improve. Saturday was Daniels' 35th college start, during which he's thrown 899 passes. For the most part, he is what he is, which is above average at best, and disastrous at worst. Against SEC defenses, Daniels is a less efficient Danny Etling.

Nussmeier has appeared in 7 college games and thrown 96 passes. At this point, I don't care how much better Daniels is than Nussmeier at practice. Daniels has proven that he is not good when it matters. Nussmeier deserves a full week of preparation with starters and a full start. His first shot went badly against Arkansas last season. He deserves another shot given Daniels' poor play against Auburn and Tennessee.

LSU needs a jolt. Starting Daniels against Florida is hoping that Florida craps the bed like Auburn and State did in the second half. It doesn't make sense to be the type of coach to wants the ball first, but then also the type of coach afraid to make this QB change.

The backup QB for Kansas looked better than our starter
