The low turnovers are good, the running ability is good, the pocket passing is bad. Ok we knew that coming in so why is the offense a spread, drop back 50 times a game type offense instead of an offense built to suit Daniels strengths? We can bitch about Daniels but the player can only do what he can do, the coaches are the bigger issue.

How are you gonna prove otherwise when you don’t consider other options?

How do you seriously feel Nuss fares under that pass rush this porous OL vomits up?

Blaming the oline is a false narrative. Daniels holds the ball longer than any other SEC QB so he has time. When we get pressure most of the time it’s zero blitzes where he can’t identify hots. Like I said before we don’t know what Nuss will do but the ball will come out and he will back people up which is at least what a QB is supposed to provide. It would all depend on his decision making.

because kelly knows he fricked up bad. he best check his les miles ego at the door or this shite will turn on him fast.

Are you suggesting Kelly is refusing to play the QB who gives us the best chance to win because of . . . ego?

Yesterday wasn’t about winning, it was about protecting Daniels from controversy. There was no reason to have the starter in late no matter who your team and QBs are.

If he's starting again next season, I'm checking out until he's gone.

It's no better than the stone age offense we suffered through under the final years of Miles' tenure.

This is my only reason for giving Denbrock a pass. Ita hard to evaluate a scheme when a qb refuses to throw the ball. I guess refusing to try another qb for any extended amount of time is its own knock on the coaches though.

I tried to explain to my son how daniels ia affecting the run game too. The defense never has to worry about getting beat deep so they can have eyes in the backfield all day with out having to pay for it. Our playaction never works because daniels will never make them pay for biting on it. Watching kelly scream ," its 1 on 1 throw the fricking ball " was maddening to me. How can he not see JD will never throw that fricking ball?

Nuss can get the ball to the receivers faster then JD can
Our current OL can’t block everyone for long enough for JD to get rid of it. Make the change now to Nuss for the rest of the season.bring JD in for some packages but for Pete”s sake give Nuss a chance.

I’m for it if it’s Howard. But Nuss isn’t the guy y’all think he is.

That’s what I can’t understand. If you want to play him he needs to be in a run type spread system like Meyer and Mullin or Malzahn or Herman that uses his legs and the perimeter players in the run game. But for some reason we’re dropping him back 50 times a game like he’s Joe Burrow. Yesterday 62 of the 74 plays called were for Daniels so we call games as if he’s the best weapon we have when we should be protecting him because he’s limited. It’s totally upside down.

The problem is we cant get much worse at gaining passing yards. We are currently 121st in passing yards per completion and 93rd in passing yards per attempt. Under Daniels we are literally one of the worst passing teams in cfb.

I kind of give them a pass for amount of pass plays called yesterday as we got down by multiple scores 3 minutes in and tenn was supposed to be ranked last in opponents passing yards per game while having a top 5 run defense.
6 games in and we havent tried a different qb for any significant amount when its clear JD cant pass.

There was no not one reason that JD should have been left in that blowout.

What’s puzzling is that Kelly trusted him to seal the Auburn game on the road in a volatile situation when Daniels was ok to play, just didn’t have his normal mobility according to Kelly. But he doesn’t play him late in a blowout loss when Daniels played poorly while the game was in contention. That doesn’t make sense strategically which signals another motive was at play.

I knew at this point why would we not give nuss or Howard a shot. It can’t be worse

Coaches see these guys everyday in practice and Nuss is apparently bad enough that they played with the idea of giving Howard snaps vs New Mexico prior to the Daniels injury. Personally I think you have to pay attention to context clues. The fact that they’ve been so reluctant to go to Nuss, then when they had to go to him vs Auburn they went so conservative is telling for what they think about Nuss.

Season is now wrecked.

Time to go full rebuild at qb. Put Nuss in and see what he has.

If he has nothing can’t we play Howard the last 3 games and the bowl game.
