It's a system fit. Jayden keeps turnovers low, he can move the ball with his feet and he doesn't take too many chances.

Kelly said today that the only thing good about the offense was the QB.

Get used to it.

He won't be here. Kelly knows this isn't good enough but he doesn't feel like he has any other choice right now with the makeup of this team. It will be Nuss or Howard next year.

That was a dumb statement by Kelly…..if Daniels is starting for LSU next year it will be the beginning of the end for Kelly because that probably means Nuss and Howard transfer.

JD will not be the QB next year. He likely will transfer again if he wants to play one more year.
He will not be the guy next year

You and I both know that we hope this but it's hope only.

Jayden will come back and have great "stats"

He'll have a high completion %, low amount of turnovers and he'll get the nod over Walker and Nuss for the same reason he got the nod over Myles. He can run

That's not enough. Take away his ability to run like Tennessee did today and he becomes a liability not an asset.

I’d wager that Walker Howard would be the starter next year before Jayden.

Actually a really similair situation. Les loved what Jordan brought to the offense with his legs. While it was a step down in passing, jordan was always sold as the best qb to win with that team.

Even with a historically great defense, it didn't matter. The complete lack of a passing game bit us in the arse and 21-0 happened.

Walker Howard will emerge like a phoenix from the ashes this offseason

I think he was a one year holdover. I feel like it may be known already. Moscona repeatedly says Daniels won't be back like it's already a fact. I feel like Kelly will want Nuss or Howard. Nuss almost won the job this year being 3 years younger than Daniels.

That he'll have low turnover numbers and a high completion percentage?

I think Denbrock and Kelly want a QB that can move, Daniels will finish this year and unless Walker unseats him (2nd year vs 6th year) I think he'll start next year as well

You sure about that because im not?
I thought when we got Kelly we would run a west coast type of offense with alot of TE usage.
Then we get Denbrock who was running RPOs.
Then they combine this year to create a new offense that doesnt do shite. I dont even know what we are TRYING to do.

Jefferson was recruited out of HS by Les and he was here for 4 years.

Daniels initiated the contact with LSU as a transfer and will be here 2 years max

Sure, very similar

If he starts all year. Comes back next year. He’s your QB next year. The only way that changes is if one of the next two get experience this year after another loss or two and show something special to pass up JD. Then they will be the favorite to start. I’d expect Nuss will be gone for sure if he doesn’t get a shot this year at some point.

I’m ready to blow it all up. Admit we made a mistake and beg Aranda to come and pair him with a young offensive mind to develop Howard.

Avoid the Sunk cost fallacy.
