So I thought I’d get another season out of my snake boots, but as I was climbing down out of the tree this morning I noticed the sole is separating on the right boot. Go online, and nothing. Danner has no stock. Irish Setter has no stock. Bass Pro has no stock. I really don’t want a pair of Rocky’s, but it looks like that’s my only option.

Busiest time of year and Danner has nothing in stock. What in the actual hell is going on?

Head to a shoe repair shop and get it fixed, glued……. You may have to hunt for a shoe repair shop but that may be the way to go short term.

I work for a large utility company and we have online accounts with clothing allotments pre-loaded every year. We probably order 10,000 boots every year and can’t find manufacturers or distributors to provide boots right now. It’s like there just aren’t any boots out there.

As with most things made these days, quality goes down and price goes up.

Bro. The world was turned upside down a couple of years ago and we still haven't recovered. Shortages are the norm for pretty much anything.

There is a really good cobbler on hwy 22 in Mandeville. He can at most glue you back, if not resole your boot if it isn’t too far gone.

A really good cobbler can convert it from glued sole to stitched

Same story with work boots. Either can't find them or the ones you can get have gone up $100. Just picked up a pair of Brunts to try out and they're great for $130.

Tractor supply was completely out of gloves a couple of weeks ago except for women’s. Most of those were gone as well.
