My god their greens are awful. Filled with weeds. Trying to be LSU?

City park have the same problems with some of their greens. It's a shame that Dumas has the best greens out of the 3.

It rained for two months straight all over the state and everywhere else managed to get their greens back to normal

You can only play 9 holes(10,11,12,4,5,6,7,8 & 9) at Dumas. I go at least once a week because no one is out there. Greens are not in bad shape for Dumas.

It hasn’t rained in 4 weeks. Every other course is primo right now.

People complaining about BR public courses is getting old. If you want to play pristine courses then go join a club

Webb's new short game area opened today. I went out there with a wedge and some balls to practice at lunchtime. It's got a bunker and lots of contour to the green. It's in good shape right now.

Big tournament, I’m ok with it.
But on a Friday? It’s the only decent place in town to play/practice.
The guy who ran me off spouted a number that the tournament dropped to have the course “closed”
Not any more than they would have made on a Friday before a home game…
Having said that, I can’t chip / putt ?
Who is that hurting ?

The Legacy it's terrible.. it's just finding decent grass to hit off of.. or the mat..

The egos of the dinguses that wanted to close a course for the day of course..

I'm pretty new to golf, only started playing this year, but I don't understand the hate for 9 hole courses.

I only work 4 hours on Fridays and almost every week I swing by city park for a quick 9 holes after work. The greens aren't great but the layout is fun and I can play the 9 holes in a relaxed non-rushed manner and still finish in an hour and a half. I'm a big fan.

If they had a half descent par 3 or chipping course around BR I'd be a happy camper.

I also went to SM on Friday and they told me the course was closed including the range. I asked if I could chip and putt for a while and they had no issue at all with it. There were a few guys doing the same.

They had a CHS scramble on Friday, 72 groups morning and afternoon flights. Guys by number were real nice offered food and drink.

I was told I could chip and putt as long as I had my own balls. After ab 5 minutes, the head dude came out to run me off.
Told me they didn’t have enough parking…
Then proceeded to tell me I should go to beaver creek to practice bc “it’s not that far away”
