I dont have much to compare it to, but Fournette breaking free against Ole Miss multiple times was pretty loud in my opinion

Blocked game winning field goal in the 2008 Bama game was pretty insane. Blocked the field goal and the band rolled right into neck and the place exploded
Then a quick Lee pick in OT ended all the excitement real quick. Jarret Lee was horrible in that game with 4 picks yet somehow LSU still almost knocked off undefeated Bama

I believe it was 2008 Florida maybe, but they announced over the loud speaker that USC had just lost
crowd went nuts
It was in 2007, but yes, that was the loudest noise I've ever heard. What a game that was. 28-24 LSU!

Herb Tyler’s 4th quarter touchdown vs. Florida in 1997 is without a doubt the loudest I’ve ever heard Tiger Stadium.
Tommy Banks 1st quarter touchdown is 2nd.
I was in the stadium for ‘07 Florida, ‘03 Georgia. They do not compare to ‘97 Florida.

When the USC Stanford final was announced in 07 vs Florida, it was the loudest I had ever heard Tiger Stadium. Sitting in the student section in particular, I'm suprised it didn't register on the scale lol

After UGA tied the game late in the fourth in 2003, the crowd started chanting LSU-LSU like it had a hive mind. It got the players pumped for sure. Then of course- Mauck to Green for the game winner.
Pumped up the players but also intimidated UGA or at least sucked out any joy or confidence they may have gained from the score. Mark Richt, their HC at the time, basically admitted he couldn’t believe the response. It was basically like punching somebody dead in the mouth and they just shrugged and smiled. You know what’s coming next. . .

Was not pre-game, it was during a timeout in the 3rd quarter. That moment and the 3rd-4th qtr transition for Bama in 2012 are at the top for me.

Landry’s TD catch in 2012 against Bama.

Pregame Bama and opening kick off 2018 was lit, and then the game was a huge dud.

Blocked field goal against Alabama in 2008 is the single loudest moment I’ve heard in Tiger Stadium and I’ve been to a countless number of games.

Well mine would be in 1986 wgen Micheal brooks intercepted the Aggie qb. The place went crazy and we went on to blow them out 35-17. National tv and the jets flying over was just insane. But then cam Miami Ohio…. Grrrrrrrrr and even though it wasn’t really a game changer Dalton Hilliards TD against FSU in 1982 the oranges rained down in the north end zone. Up until 2019 that was the most complete football game I have seen LSU play against a quality opponent.

Agreed with the when the USC - Standford.
Though I started yelling and celebrating with everyone else, this was one of the moments where I just stopped and stared in awe of Death Valley. I just remember looking around the stadium, slowing down, and gazing in pure bliss at what the stadium was producing that night.

LSU blocked a Bama fg late in the game in the 2008ish time frame and it was super loud.

This was probably the loudest single explosion of sound I've ever heard in the stadium. I guess the caveat in response to the OP is that you could argue that moment was somewhat "game deciding" since the kick was to win the game for Alabama.
You have to remember the circumstances that led to that explosion. It was Nick Saban's first game in Tiger Stadium as Alabama's HC. That alone had LSU fans at full tilt. Then you had the added emotion of Alabama being ranked #1 at the time and LSU being a somewhat sizable underdog going into the game. Finally, the block was wholly unexpected. Alabama had pretty easily driven the ball down to the LSU 12 yard line to get in position for an easy 29 yard game winning kick. The packed crowd still had hope for a miss, but during the TO before the kick most were quietly prepared to watch the inevitable Alabama win. In fact, my dad had already positioned himself at the front of the tunnel out of our section so he could get a head start on the crowd once the kick was made....then....95k people...who held their breath upon the snap...all exploded in unison when the kick was blocked, and my dad came running back up to his seat!
Go back and watch the video of the moment. CBS panned over the student section after the block and it was absolute pandemonium with drinks flying everywhere. LSU always hates Alabama when they come to Tiger Stadium. But I'm confident the level of hate for THAT game was higher for any LSU v Alabama game before or since.
