I get it and I think I'm just pissed off bc that mentality is not isolated to nola but is here in BR as well and it kills me to think people can not see the forrest through the trees to this level. I haven't watched it but I do expect it to be good. Think of these kids who had their whole life evaporate in a weekend. Equal and opposite reaction is absolutely expected.

It was garbage. bullshite documentary. Katrina and aftermath through the eyes of an idiot.

So, it was violent there because of the black people shooting each other?

Cool story. Tell me more liberal code words that are used in the documentary.
Everything about it is a code word for Bush didnt personally stand out in front and put his hands up to stop a hurricane in a below sea level city so white people did that to which was already in complete disrepair from Democrat governance for decades
A city that was the most dangerous and uneducated city in the United States 10 years before

I only made a thread on this because seems like New Orleans East has really gone to shite more than what it was before. I’m not from New Orleans and I don’t know the whole city that well. I just thought it was interesting hearing them say in the documentary that after Katrina, they shipped everybody from projects over there and that’s why they said it was really bad. I know crime is all over the city but not like it is in the East.

Different groups of black people. Think of putting a bunch of Russians and Ukrainians in the same fema trailer park. They gonna be shooting each other up because their flag is the wrong colors. But in this instance it is different black gangs Meanwhile Ivanna who moved comes back and sees all the violence and death in her neighborhood and now it's spread into the nicer neighborhoods. Is sad and and anxious but feels happier and safe when she goes back to fairhope or whatever safer town/city you so choose to pick
The end.
The personal stories are what's fascinating. Even if I think they are absurd I still enjoy hearing stories fabricated or not.

And who's fault is this?
I would argue the illegalization of drugs. That's why there are turf wars.
You got a gang on one block, another gang wants to expand or if one is caught making a sell on someone else's block,

If that's the reason - why don't we see these turf wars in white neighborhoods?

It was pretty bad in the mid to late ‘90s in the East, not sure if it’s worse now - probably the same

It's called turf wars. It's real it happened. Corporations came in built houses. Same shite happens in other cities but in a different form. When schools in the hood are combined sometimes you get rival gangs together. Drugs guns gangs make for a big ole pot of gumbo murder. Watch the movie. Actually don't you be dumb and it might make your brain explode.
Could you imagine what NOLA would be like without the post Katrina investment?

New Orleans crime started skyrocketing before the Controlled Substances Act of 1970
Cops, Murders, Robbery, Assault, Burgalry

So white peoples fault.
Always comes back to this main problem. We learned a few weeks ago about the Atlanta suburb that is 99% black and it has no problems at all…

Gotta love how they kill each other not over their property like some Hatfield or McCoy. Rather they kill each other over a spot their grandma has been renting on section 8 for 30 years.

Why aren't there turf wars in Maine or Montana or Wyoming?
The Real problem is the culture that idolizes obvious negativity and a matriarchal society where many women have multiple kids from different partners.
