It is about different individuals telling their stories of going through hurricane Katrina as kids. Towards the end of the documentary, they talk about the reason New Orleans got so bad crime wise was because of gentrification of the projects such as Magnolia and Calliope and sending all of them to New Orleans East. They said that caused a lot of fighting and killings because of people reppin their sets and hood that they were from. At the end of the documentary, the guy who produced it said he never feels safe in New Orleans and always has anxiety but when he goes out of town, he feels at peace and able to relaxed.

I seen it. Thought it was well done. I'm sure someone here will come along to say something was racist about it or was racist cause it wasn't in the movie. OT gonna OT

It's called turf wars. It's real it happened. Corporations came in built houses. Same shite happens in other cities but in a different form. When schools in the hood are combined sometimes you get rival gangs together. Drugs guns gangs make for a big ole pot of gumbo murder. Watch the movie. Actually don't you be dumb and it might make your brain explode.

New Orleans East was a killing ground well before Katrina.

I thought they tore those projects down?

At least there was a time when the majority of the crimes were in the projects. You knew to stay away. But when they got spread out and so did the crime. And a police department that was once filled with corruption played a role in the high crime in the 90s.

Under Latoya the police department went to shite and crime goes up.

Its still not as bad as it was in the 90s, but it sure as shite isn't going to get better under her.

It doesn't matter whose fault is anything this is a story about a guy who doesn't feel safe in new Orleans anymore because neighborhoods combined. Chaos ensued and now it's worse. Corporations/home builders are not white or black. Like this is literally facts it happened. Yes the extreme majority of the killings are black people. It's true those are facts.

I'm not faulting anyone or corporations. I just like the documentary and enjoyed the story.

But no you gotta insert race into everything. It isn't about race it is about violence and it sure as hell isn't about you so stop with your bullshite.

Fair point. You did not. Other people have and did so immediately. But have you watched the documentary? It's worth a watch.

I believe you. I do. What I don't believe is that you can't see that THAT entire thought process is fricking apelike and the opposite of evolved humanity. You do know that most people don't do that right?

I'm just talking about a movie bruh not anything else. Just these stories. That's what it is... Just personal stories in a documentary. What are your thoughts on the documentary.

Well forgive us for the assumptions. It’s just that

is always liberal code for blaming white people for the problems in a black neighborhood.
