Was up near Battleford for a few days. Did diy and some guided hunts. Guided was off the charts, limits of specks Canadians in morning, limits of ducks in afternoon plus 20 or so snows. Diy was good w limits of ducks plus a few geese. Also chased sharptail grouse w pointers and labs. Amazing time, stupid numbers of birds ...

This sounds like a Facebook album, minus the pictures.

Speaking of… pics

Nice!

I'm heading up to the Spruce Lake/Turtleford area Sunday. First trip since COVID, I can't wait. How has the weather been?

Ward has been on them heavy this year. I saw he got into the snow a few days ago.

I hunted with him his first few years at startup with him and Chris. Haven’t been in a few years.

So, where does the meat go since there is no bringing birds across the border?

Some pay the Indians to take them. Then the Indians sell them or give to tribe members.

I think that rule got overturned and is allowed again. When I went a few years ago we gave them to the Indians.

You can bring meat back stateside. USDA reversed the ruling.

I live in ontario so we drove the meat back ... 30 hrs. As someone said earlier the usda/usfws reversed the import ban on processed birds. There are a few exceptions but most areas are open. Our weather was warm, a little too warm during upland.
