Jeffrey Dahmer & Social Issues (Police, Racism, Etc.)

Watched Jeffrey Dahmer series on Netflix. Loved it but..
The whole series seemed to be an indictment of white people and police officers because the victims were gay and/or black and the killer was an awkward white male. Every episode kept hitting this. Even Jesse Jackson was in the show.
Should the police be blamed for what happened? Not wanting to get between Dahmer and his 'boyfriend' when he said he was just drunk and they let him lead the kid back into the apartment?
Occam's razor says he more than likely isn't killing and eating human bodies. In theory they aren't going to violate the man's civil rights with no way to supply evidence that satisfies a burden of proof. Is that the polices fault? Should they have had surveillance on him or started tailing him?
I'm not sure why this is such a social issue and not just a fricking psycho who was gay and "liked" black men.
ETA: He was murdered in prison by a black man, there's some racism

Dahmer stated in interviews that he alone was responsible for the murders. He did not wish to blame his parents or societal ills for his crimes; he said he alone killed those people.

You ought to know that those who produce media for our consumption will take any avenue possible to blame whitey.

I agree with your sentiment, but I think this is one of the rare occasions that we can point to both of those things as major factors in why Dahmer was able to get away with what he was doing for so long.
Police didn’t want anything to do with dealing with gay domestic disputes, much less ones involving gay black dudes.
I do, however, think Netflix is attempting to capitalize on the social climate that you touched on in the OP. They are absolutely trying to cash in on whitey bad, whitey police worse. It just so happens that this story fits that narrative well.

Read a book, he preferred black men sexually, it was not racism, the series was not actual, just based on events, for example the woman who kept calling police (and was right) did not live in his building…

Out of a sense of equity, they ought to let black people commit crime with little to no consequences. Something like immediate release upon arrest, regardless of prior charges or severity of crime.

I never said anything about Dahmer being racist. I said the police not wanting to involve themselves in domestic disputes between gay men, much less ones involving gay black men, allowed Dahmer to get away with his actions for longer than he would have otherwise.

It was refreshing to hear Dahmer take full blame for his actions in interviews, especially listening now in the era of pointing fingers and no one taking accountability for anything.
I sort of respect Dahmer for that.

Netflix is literally a mouthpiece for Soros and Obama
It runs a negative balance sheet yet somehow is bankrolled by mysterious financiers
It is an instrument for them to sow the seeds of anti white and anti conservative sentiment
You should know better

The whole Glenda Cleveland thing or whatever her name is, was fake. She didn't even live in the same building as him.

I’m just amazed that so many people are learning about one of America’s most notorious serial killers for the first time.

It’s easier for the victims’ families and society to think Dahmer’s victims were killed because of their skin color or sexual orientation, not their actions. They were killled because they were promiscuous, seeking sex from strangers and were often drugging or drunk. I’m not victim blaming, but a black and gay man who was not cruising strange men for sex in seedy bars, most likely didn’t wind up in one of Dahmer’s sandwiches.

rhetorical question..Does that mean police are there to protect women and white women at that?

I’m tall, blonde, mustachioed, and have the same glasses. I am not happy with this new phenomenon.

The cops were complete morons there accepting that 14 year old as an adult with no I.D. Other than nude Polaroids, especially with a neighbor that had been complaining loud about his weird activity. I doubt they slept well much after that.
That said, he did that shite way late in his run. His parents were idiots and failed to see a lot of signs.

Netflix made this out to blame white people
Like they love doing.
Jeff D was ghey and loved black dudes. There wasn’t a racist thing about that.

Yeah, we all know partying and sucking dick often leads a man to his murder by a cannibal.

For those blindly commenting about how Netflix is super woke and blaming whitey etc.
The show is pretty damn accurate.. because Dahmer confessed to every detail. There were protests against the police after he was caught. Black people were pissed he wasn’t caught and especially after hearing the story about the 14yo. Jesse Jackson actually did get involved. The show literally shows Dahmer saying it wasnt race involved he just preferred certain body types. It wasnt overwhelming wokeness in the slightest, people need to lighten the hell up
Side note: how the frick did that 14yo still agree to go home with him after his older brother had been assaulted and Dahmer was caught for it?!?

I don't think it's much of a logic leap to think that the man that almost exclusively murdered gay black men was a racist homophobe at heart.
