Holy shite what a great vacation. We have two nights left in athens to wrap up our two week trip. We went to the following cities:

Athens
Crete (Chania/Heraklion)
Naxos
Santorini

All of the cities were awesome. Athens is by far our favorite though -- don't let anyone tell you that you should only spend a day or two in Athens. Naxos was our second favorite and Crete/Santorini were both a good time. We had a blast renting an ATV and driving all up and down Santorini (little scary though).

Food is excellent -- have had some of the best food anywhere here. Everything except for Santorini was very cheap.

Greece is a must go.

We went in May and I absolutely hated Athens. One day was more than enough to see everything we wanted to see and then some. Santorini on the other hand was gorgeous and we wished we had spent more time there. We'll be going back to the Greek Isles for sure.

Planning to go there late May of 23. We have Athens, Santorini, and Naxos lodging already reserved. We are looking forward to it and will be looking for a full review when you return!

We are trying in 2023 as well but nothing is set in stone.

Definitely doing Naxos and Santorini, I would like to fit in either Milos or Paros.

I absolutely love Milos. It was probably my favorite of the Greek isles I’ve been to. It’s areas not near the port felt very authentic, and its beaches and swimming were great. We are at this one restaurant where they cooked the food in the volcanic sand on the beach.

Check out Rhodes if you ever go back. Cool place and pretty diverse terrain across the island. Seemed like it was not a tourist hotspot just yet so pretty authentic.

Seems like everyone has differing opinions about athens. We absolutely love it. Amazing food, inexpensive, easy to take the metro anywhere you want, and very safe from what I've seen. And great shopping.

I wish we had spent more than 2 days on Naxos. 2 days was plenty for Santorini -- it's beautiful but a PIA to drive anywhere and driving around an ATV is pretty damn dangerous (but fun)

Feel free to bump this when you get closer to your trip and we'll give you some restaurant recommendations. Our best meal by far was a family owned restaurant in Naxos. So damn good

Athens central was awesome. Very clean, great food and the nicest people. Santorini was as beautiful as advertised.
