I never thought dude would do much, but he is an outstanding hard working player. Dude just has that grit to him like he’s playing for his last play every play. I think the coaching staff had the most confidence in him at the end of the game to pick up that first down and not fumble the ball to end up kneeling the game out. Dude deserves his praise!
i love stories like this, former walk on now contributing in major ways, definitely what football and sports in general is all about!

He’s our most solid TB.

Last drive of the game, Auburn knows 3 runs up the middle are coming. He gets low and is able to get ten yards in 3 downs. Huge

Well deserved! He doesn’t have the pedigree, build, or skillset of your typical “walk-on”. Some posters can’t past the fact that he wasn’t originally a scholarship player but he’s legit!

He has turned into a good RB who is tough and has great vision. He always seems to be moving forward too.

Not saying that BJ isn’t deserving, as he very well is, but JW certainly embodies the #18 meaning as good as anyone else on the team. His running style is somewhat like Hester’s in the sense that it’s not flashy, it’s just grit and simple north and south hard running of the football. I appreciate the heck out of JW, and all of our backs!

I’ve been very impressed with him this season. He reminds me a little of Nick Brosette in 2018. Both were dependable, versatile backs who played hard and smart.
Williams is good in pass pro, catches well out of the backfield and is our most dependable guy when you need someone to go get a hard few yards for you. That short yardage TD run vs State was TOUGH, and he looked the same when we needed that last first down to close the game Saturday.
Hats of to this kid. He’s earned a lot of respect with his play this season and deserves every rep he gets.

He reminds me so much of Jacob Hester (his running style & grit)

Even if there is the slightest crack between our offensive linemen, Josh will squeeze through and earn anywhere from 3 to 10 yards.
And blocking is solid and dependable.
Actually can catch the football.
He might not have started as an LSU RB, but he is now, through and through.

Yeah, the typical a-hole on the rant. They’ll cry for Emery to play no matter how unproductive he is and diss Williams no matter how good he looks because he wasn’t a five star recruit

Reminds me of CEH in 2019. Started off a little slow and then as the season progressed, he blew up into a big time playmaker. Josh seems to have a similar hunger and fire and is growing game by game.

yep. Noticed that too at the end of the game, they trusted Josh. Good for him, show what that hard work can do
