Lane was an incumbent, BK was not. BK had to build an entire coaching staff first. You have a bad take on this.

To the OP…we could be paying Jimbo $10m a year and losing with the best recruiting class in the country. I’m sure you could do much better. You don’t like the coach or his decisions and anything less than winning every game by double digits isn’t acceptable. Grow up!

Kelly sure did recruit him hard to go to Notre Dame. Kelly told who a lot of fans thought would be the started you are not in our plans to play, jumped the second guy.
I concede that Daniels is a talented runner and has a shaky line. But he is playing exactly like he played at Arizona, run first pass second.
IMO Kelly made that choice because he hopes Daniels will improve and play at LSU next year. My concern is if you are a 4-5 star receiver and don't see that you can get a fair share of touches or a RB that sees the QB get more carries, will he continue to land these players?
I'm not overly concerned yet but I'm hoping by the end of the year Daniels will be able to pass to the first wr occasionally and use his running skills only as a last resort when not a planned bootleg or run option.

We’re going up against a far better coached team in Tenner so Brian will get exposed. His in-game adjustments are as bad here as they were at ND.
