Number 40 total offense

Notably ahead of guru mike leach led miss state at 44

Ahead of Clemson wake forest Texas Florida

Number 14 scoring defense and 19 total defense.

Kinda crazy to think that we won’t win another SEC game

Awesome. Post positive LSU statistics with comps to major power 5 teams and I get 3 downvotes no responses.

Lol you won't win over the rantards with logic.

Nice stats though. I remember when being top 80 offenses was a pipe dream.

Hello Coach Miles. So you like our offense, huh?

The deficiencies of the offense were laid bare against Auburn. This offense would have embarrassed Les Miles and that is saying something.

I don't see this as being true at all.

This is just a straw man if you don’t add any context at all. Specifically, how many of the yards came against two completely overmatched opponents? I know everyone plays OOC games, but let’s at least talk about the fact that positives on offense from those performances haven’t crossed over to our P5 games yet. We’ve had slow starts and offensive issues of one kind of another in each of those three games. Do you really not think this will become a bigger problem as we play better and better teams going forward?

While I am not discounting these stats, you can’t just make a blanket statement that these raw numbers mean we will be fine in SEC play. They alone don’t cancel out the poor passing performance last night and the inconsistency of our run game vs the kind of competition we know we are playing the rest of the way.

I bet Mike leach’s offense has more than 80 yard passing against Auburn.

Also the bulk of those offensive stats came against southern and New Mexico. Let’s not get too carried away.

I hate to tell.you this, but if those other schools you named were to play New Mexico and Southern, their offense would jump 10 spots

That's because anyone with eyes can see this LSU offense is not good and stats do not tell the entire story. It's not hard to understand. There's things there that aren't measured like how fast a team gets it going. LSU is shooting blanks in all 3 major games this season going down 14-0, 17-0, etc. and coming back. You can't keep doing that and expect to win. Someone is going to punch us in the mouth if the offense continues to shite the bed like that.

Looking at the rankings just between LSU and Miss. St., you have to look at the teams each have played. LSU has played 2 cupcakes ( southern and New Mexico State which skewed/padded the stats ), FSU, MSU and Auburn. MSU has played Memphis, Arizona, bowling green, LSU and aTm, the quality of the competition is better for them and LSU’s defense is the reason their offense is ranked below LSU’s. So, to look at those rankings at face value are a little misleading and they are only 3 yards less in average than LSU.

Wow that’s really neat! If you’re happy with where we’re at now then let’s continue doing exactly what we’re doing and not change a thing!

I remember when Les was going 9-3 with the 100th ranked offense. Maddening.
