He can maybe be developed as Daniels is finished so far as I can see. He has been the same for four years.

This is a stupid take. JD is failing. There is no pass threat and unlike the Miles years no credible running threat. Also, while the defense has played well generally it is nowhere near previous elite levels that some of Miles's teams had.

Do we have enough of his tape to draw useful conclusions? We do on Daniels and he cannot perform. So there's that.

We do not know he is "the guy", Jack arse. We would like to learn. We do know, at least some of us, that JD5 is NOT "the guy". So fricking stupid.

What game are you watching that makes you want Nuss to start?

I have watched all the games which has led me to conclude that playing JD is like whipping a dead horse. He just will not go no matter what the STAFF tries to do. After as many starts as he has had, any ordinary mind can grasp this.

You are misguided my friend if you think that at this point of their respective development that Nuss cannot be better than the current starter who is atrocious. Nuss needs reps to get better. So far as I am concerned, JD has had his shot and he cannot make the cut.

So do you think that the current QB production will lead to a winning record let alone winning the west? We all see what's coming but some want to pretend that it is not. This is worse that the Les Miles era inasmuch as there is no run game. Auburn pretty much contained JD the scrambler.

Daniels has had 30 starts . If he doesn’t know how to slide by now , that is on him . Maybe the coaches need to teach him how to tie his shoes ? Come to think of it , he did throw a shoe in the game !

This is exhibit A in “why taking this board seriously will give you a migraine”.
This poster clearly thinks he knows more about football and more about coaching than the best coach this program has ever had.
Really, a little humility please.

You have got it backwards. Nuss had his shot, time and time again, and can’t cut it. When will you get it through your head that Nuss had last year to start a game, the off-season to compete against Daniels and this season to show improvement. He has proven to be the inferior product every step of the way.

Once again:
2/6
3 drops
1 throwaway on his first drive, Kelly chews him out, no more throwaways for the rest of the game. Are y’all making generalizations based off the stats or actually watching the game?

Can't complete a pass beyond 5 yards. 5 total yards passing. That "throwaway" was to an open receiver on 3rd down and looked more like an overthrow to me but I could see it being a throwaway. He felt pressure I guess. Upside, he didn't try to force a pass some where and get it picked off, so there is that.

The drops by Boutte and Thomas were bad but would have added maybe 12 yards to his total.

Ok so what about Nuss makes you think he’s better?

Nuss does look like he sees the receivers better than JD and gets rid of the ball quicker. Not saying he should start but he should get in there when JD is struggling and get a couple of series. He needs more reps with the 1's because he is going to play and JD is going to get injured. Our defense will only be able to win so many games. We will need offense against Ole Miss and Alabama.

I totally agree . JD has had 30 plus starts . Still can’t read defenses and go through progressions . Do you mean to tell me nobody ever tried to teach this kid anything ? More likely he can’t do it . Give Nuss some reps . He may have to fill in anyway .

We do not know yet, Sammy. Give it a try. Daniels at QB is a losing proposition. He will not change at this point. How many starts does he have? I for one have seen enough. As I have said, I think Miles would have been embarrassed by this offense and that is saying something.

He’s not the long term answer. But I do trust the coaches in place more than the LazyBoy head coaches and coordinators in here.

To me it makes sense to try to get Nuss coached up and some more real playing time. Nuss may have potential and a future at LSU, JD5 does not.

So JD's tape for 3+ years is comparable to what Nuss has had in real games? Interesting take, but way off base, friend.

Any other SEC team would have benched JD by now….
