Not sure but I would bet anything that Desantis is under surveillance.
They are listening to his phone conversations, regular conversations, reading his emails, opening his mail, and probably are working informants around him.

espionage act is now in play.
a crime that even now reverberates in the cia as counter intelligence must look to figure out what changed in response to the possible availability of the secret materials.

Desantis would love to be raided by the FBI. Just like Trump pretty much invited the raid. It does nothing but galvanize their base. It’s all political theatre. The more you are portrayed as a victim of the deep state or whatever, the more it fires up the base.
