And there it is, knew that was your trigger. One of those that when people complain about extreme weather you get all hot and bothered they may be infering climate change. These people are as bad as those always running around abt climate change. Just be normal.

I don’t trust NHC’s maximum sustained winds when it’s 155mph at landfall. It’s probably a lot more. They always stick with 155 for landfall for some reason.

I just Googled it, Cape Coral has 400 miles of navigable waterways, more than any other city on earth.

I have a feeling they may upgrade it to a cat 5 upon post-storm review.

Disagree. The Caloosahatchie is already overflowing into downtown, and the storm is pushing the gulf up into it too. It will be very bad in Ft. Myers proper.
Link please. My cousin is riding it out in Ft Myers (the town, not the beach). My aunt and uncle's place in Cape Coral is probably toast but they left so good for them. I want to see where this river water is flooding out into Ft Myers proper, please.

Any chance this thing goes out to sea once it leaves Florida? What cat is it supposed to be when it hits SC and GA?

Was hoping 5 would come back once it got into the eye but I don't think it will make into the eye, it moved just north enough that it stayed right in the eye wall the whole time.

TS

The eyewall seems to just be stalled out or slightly jogging north over Ft Meyers Beach. Anyone who stayed there has to be facing their own mortality right now. I want to stop watching but I cant help it.

Most models have it drifting into the Atlantic and then hitting somewhere between Savannah and Charleston as a strong TS, low Cat 1.

Cam 9 is pretty gnarly.

9 might be protected from going completely off line because of the water and might stay up after the eye passes maybe

The Coral Creek Airport weather station gave up the ghost.

My buddy in Ft Myers is near the river, flooding in his yard but only 3-4 inches, nothing major yet.
