I do think it's worth noting though, that this hasn't been common for him while a saint. Here's his passer rating for every saint start...

130.8
26.9 (yikes)
110.8
119.1
108.2
83.3
108.7
111.0
55.8 (yesterday)

That's quite good. I know most will refer to yesterday only when judging him, but I think that's unfair. All qbs have bad games.

No it how he's always been with us according to this board.

The chicken Littles felt justified yesterday. Can't wait for Jameis to prove them all wrong next week

There are certain teams you can "afford" to have a bad game against. Tampa is not one of them.

I’m hoping this was mostly because of the back injury. I was listening to Underhill’s podcast and his main concern is that we still don’t have an identity on offense. We get good drives going then tried a shot play almost every single drive that put us behind. We threw 6 or 7 of them. Carmichael and DA need to figure out what this offenses identity is going to be.

Against subpar talent. He supposed to eat vs the Falcons...the fricking Panthers. What are you gonna do vs the Buccaneers? The good teams? When you gotta come from behind? Because i tell you what, right now? He is what everyone says he is. He cant have another game like this. It will cost him his job.

He was 108.7 vs the bucs last year with 40 yards rushing. I'm positive they told him not to run yesterday, and I'm also positive that really hurt his game yesterday. You could see him itching to run at times only to hold up at the LOS.

ETA... and this isn't college. Pro teams are pro teams... there is no "subpar competition"

How many tds did he throw against the Packers game 1 last year?

What's his turnover% with the saints vs his time with the bucs?

Everyone on this board can admit Arians is a shite coach, yet we act like Sean didn't improve any aspect of Jameis. It's lunacy

Who knows how that game would have ended. I was on the Winston train. But the last two games have been bad. Stat padding in garbage time. Cant do shite until then. He got one more performance like this and its time to pull the plug.

Winston was bad yesterday, but the playcalling was far worse.

Two games and two games holding on to the ball too long. Whatever this offence is it needs a change and quick.

He did jack shite for 3 quarters against Atlanta. It wasn’t until they went to prevent defense up two touchdowns and he was in a two minute offense did he do anything.

So out of 8 quarters of play this year, he’s been pretty bad for 7 of them, outside of the very first drive yesterday.

You can always tell who knows absolutely nothing about football when they bring this stupid line out every fricking time a team is able to move the ball.

Yesterday only got bad when the refs decided to start screwing us over. Once that happened we started forcing the ball and making bad decisions. Yeah, he should have been above that, but he knew the fix was in.

I think Passer Rating doesn't tell the whole story.

Look at the amount of yards he has thrown for in a Saints uniform, and the amount of yards and points strictly the offense is producing.

they are not good.

They have been extremely anemic at times.

We aren't going to have a dynamic offense with Jameis at QB.

Eh, I see what you’re saying OP, but a lot of those games with high passer ratings are misleading. They game against GB last year is a perfect example - a lot of the TD drives were short drives due to turnovers/nice field position. I think we have yet to see Jameis put together a legit drive starting from the 25 yard line or within.
