Medical School Admissions Standards Lowered

I heard the LSU Medical School in Shreveport has lowered its admission policy in order to promote diversity. Any student from Grambling with a 3.0 GPA will be admitted. Also a female student from LSU with a 4.0 was told she may not get in Med school due the diversity requirements. Can anyone verify this?

Just make sure you Dr is a white male. They should be well qualified.

Xavier does have a program where, assuming you get in, you will be granted admission to LSU Med New Orleans. I believe they student has to maintain a 3.5 and score like 500 on MCAT….Both are below what the avg matriculating student has to get.

I think its a 3.0 in the core pre med classes
Plus probably some minimum MCAT score
This isnt new, all public med schools have had lowered standards for admissions for blacks since at least the 80s

This is exactly right. Not saying that there can’t be great women or minority doctors, but how to tell who actually earned it is impossible. Much better just sticking with the white guy. It is unfortunate, but it is what the woke crowd wants.

Not only mcat, they have talked about changing board exams
There are plenty of excellent black doctors out there but all affirmative action does is make us question all blacks as being token hires

Eh it’s all around the same. Some of the white guys know someone in admissions that got them in.
In the game of admissions there are way more qualified candidates than unqualified. It’s just about what angle people can use to get in.
