i bought this when it was a daily deal. LINKthe single blade as extremely sharp and cheap to change out. i also feel you can go for many more strokes before cleaning it out compared to a disposable. The hairs get pushed back past the blade without sticking like on a disposable.

Your wife will think its amazing.

You do feel manly af while doing it. It's like pissing off a mountain or getting an old car engine to crank. Just kinda seems right.

It's an experience when you first start doing it. Not quite as visceral as shaving on a mountain with your skinning knife after 10 days in the woods, but you can kinda imagine that's what you're doing

A single blade leads to less irritation. Think about it, with a 3 or 5 blade disposable, every swipe you make is like running that straight razor over your face 3-5 times. I used to straight razor shave but fell out of the habit. It feels manly af, there's way less irritation, and it's a nice zen like routine.

Having said that my straight razor has a rounded edge and not a square edge, not sure how smooth that'd be.

no clue and i dont use one, was just saying....the mindset of something works fine so why change is kind of dumb.

alot of people like safety razors because they dont like the hair and cut below the skin which is why people get bumps. I would imagine straight razor is similar.
