Well, 20 pages of 'he said-she said' personal pissing competition based on the technical legality and personal morality of what is a subjective scenario.
But the bottom line is as you point out, L, "motivated by economic opportunity". And there is not a single Poster in this thread that would not get the hell out of sh*&^hole country and come to this one for their own sake and that of their children. With "whatever it takes". The fact that these women found a personal 'friend' willing to put up $ (to 'coyotes') for their relatively safe journey across Mexico does not come out of taxpayer money but Pimp's pocket. The idea that he appealed to friends who might support his action, is his choice and has been aptly critiqued as per the usual Forum standards. Blood in the water and shark feeding frenzy.
The former 'rules' of moral and legal immigration are now irrelevant, IRL...protest as we may. That Border is wide open to any and all comers, with many being financed by international collectivist/egalitarian organizations who plan toward the destruction of our National sovereignty. They seek to tear down the walls of this extraordinarily prosperous and 'discriminating'/exclusive 'Gated Community'. The fact that Pimp chose to help personal friends who he BELIEVES will be an asset to our Free Republic model of governance, is on him. Time will tell whether his 'belief' in these individuals was more influenced by his pecker or his brain or his 'religion' (moral conscience).
I know this, if I were those people, I would be damn thankful to have a friend like Pimp who put up as opposed to just talking. IMO, Pimp has earned a place in his next life (assumption) wherein he will not be born into a 'victim' scenario in a 'sh*^%^hole' country, but rather one such as our beloved God-given Individual Rights USA. Which is currently being destroyed.
IMO, the Left (Collectivist) brings legitimate moral arguments which all people of Religious belief must address, especially Christians who hope not for real life Justice upon their demise...but Jesus' Mercy. And as the Lord laid down qualifiers (for His mercy) we are bound to the service of "the least amongst us", if we desire the same mercy. If not, no foul...do your think and drop the whole 'mercy' as virtue principle. Just don't expect any if there is a 'judgment', as that would really be wuss.
To each their own. Our only hope is that we endure to be judged into a 'next life'. Otherwise, it's better to drop this whole petty competition argument stuff and "eat, drink and be merry...". Go fishing and gaze into the wonderous evolutionary mists in my case.

There is nothing modern re Jesus mandate re the "poor". Neither is it new that Christianity is Merit-based in regard to spiritual or material prosperity, though the latter may be problematic. The Left most certainly rejects the idea of Merit, as they openly mock such via their "life's lottery" criticism. If there is no God, then they are right on a moral basis as THEY perceive morality. But their attempt to shove THEIR SUBJECTIVE (Godless or Secular) version of morality down the throats of those who don't buy in to Egalitarian economic models, will not be a win. It'll be a bloody dog fight for all, and likely should be as both sides (as they perceive reality) stand by their higher moral principle.
And I am by no stretch a member of "Modern American Christianity"; more likely a philosophically misguided heretic in the minds of those who embrace MAC and examine my own beliefs.
The Truth usually lies in a balance between polar extremes. IMO.
Neither is there virtue or the lack thereof in an INDIVIDUAL'S choice to serve charitable enterprises re the poor.

Bless you my brother. I am very moved by your words and not surprised they would come from you. We all Just had a beautiful traditional Venezuelan lunch together with my assistant and things are going well and they are absolutely ecstatic . Calm finally. I think they’ve felt hunted for years now. The fear porn and personal vitriol here is just like going into the Murphey’s bathroom in 1985. You know you have to do it, you know it will smell bad and somebody will wipe their shite on the walls and call you a nam and maybe punch you in the back of the head. It’s just the nature of hatred. Some people define themselves by Acts and others by resentments and grievances. Sometimes you get a wake up call when you least expect it. Sometimes your act of charity ends up benefiting you more than them. I’ve certainly missed more than my fair share of opportunities to be compassionate in the past. I don’t want to be that guy anymore.

I don't think the passion manifest in this Thread is hate, Pimp; more like frustration and hatred at the perceived and real destruction of our God-based Constitutional Republic. And being done in a manipulative and corrupt way. Many will see any 'aid and comfort' given to the 'enemy' of freedom, as a form of enabling, treachery and treason...an abandonment of loyalty. Your fair-minded insight and presence have long been appreciated by this Board. The passion builds as does the pressure from societal decay and dysfunction; many realize that what they've worked for their whole life is being 'stolen'. Not to mention the souls of their children.

1. Remittances are legal. I've done them my whole life.
2.They broke no laws of the USA. It is perfectly legal to present oneself at the US border port of entry and request asylum. In fact, it's much better than entering illegally and then requesting it a year down the road, for obvious reasons.
3. They were legally processed. I was contacted by US immigration (very polite by the way) and was asked if I would accept them. I paid for all travel costs, food, clothing etc. They all have initial court appearances in New Orleans by the end of the month.
4. I agree that anyone can be prosecuted unlawfully for anything. I agree a ham sandwich can be indicted. But as much as anti-immigration , anti Pimpists (the true deplorables lol) jerk off to that fantasy scenario, it's just not going to happen. BECAUSE THE LAW WAS FOLLOWED TO THE LETTER. If people have a beef with me for following the law it seems misplaced. How about a little anger that there isn't a proper immigration law and enforcement.
