Will you be intellectually honest enough to answer it? Of course not. But I'll post it again: IS IT ILLEGAL FOR VENEZUELANS TO PRESENT THEMSELVES TO BORDER OFFICIALS AT A PORT OF ENTRY AND REQUEST ASYLUM?
Eh. I don’t care to be honest. I’m also not Christian, so feel free to sling that arrow at me too. It won’t do anything.
I’ve mainly commented on your changing story, and your out-of-character behavior, which has all the hallmarks of someone who is having a mental breakdown.

Tell us again how did they get to the PoE? Did you fund a cartel to help them get to that PoE?
You are now reduced to arguing semantics instead of the whole of what you did.
Also, asylum seekers are supposed to go to the nearest country first.
IIRC only about 50K or so people per year in the USA are actually granted asylum and that is currently under Biden. It was lower under Trump and due to CV obviously. The apporval percentage is under 50% of all applicants.
Asylum is hard to prove so you may have just pissed away $12k and helped fund a cartel.
ETA: It is lower than I thought actually. As I stated earlier in this thread they are not even letting in that many seeking asylum from Ukraine and they are in the middle of a war.

Yes they did. They were denied residency/asylum in Costa Rica. As I've previously mentioned. That was their last chance.
So being an honest guy, answer the question that has Stout and Ham refuse to.

Why didn’t they try for asylum in any of the other countries between Costa Rica and America? It doesn’t look like they traveled by boat

Aren't there other countries between CR and the USA? Did they try Belize?

I answered you but I doubt you answer my counter to your question.
Also, it is not illegal for anyone to seek asylum in the USA so your argument is not a good one.
What you did was partake in a form of human trafficking and sent funds to a cartel to facilitate it. I am 99% certain that if we had a legal system interested in stopping this you could actually face some charges but we don't so instead you will get to stay on TD and gloat and to make yourself feel holier than thou.

Yeah, you're right. Your actions and your reactions in this thread are all perfectly rational.
And what exactly is it that I'm supposed to have? It's obvious that you think that if someone doesn't stroke your ego or can't show how your actions were legally wrong, that they're somehow full of moral shortcomings.
You're both mentally unstable and suffering from extreme narcissism.

No, in fact it is the only way to do it. You show up and present your initial request and it's perfectly legal. They broke no laws. Me saying they were illegal is incorrect. Had they walked to the interior and not been Venezuelan it would be different of course.
Did they travel through Mexico illegally (not that it metters)? No they have a pass that allows them to travel for a period of days. They were illegally detained at one point and treated like shite but released after a couple of days and continued their journey.
Is there any other mechanism for them to apply for asylum other than showing up at the US border at the port of entry and requesting ASYLUM?
The answer is no. They came here in the way US LAW PRESCRIBES. Soon they will have their intial hearing as the law allows.
If their case is compelling (it is) they should be able to stay. If it is not and the grandfathering process for Venezuelans stops (it wont as both parties favor it) they will be sent home.
I mean, you guys have an argument that just isn't valid. I would doubt any of you even read this though. Too busy with the vitriol to actually LEARN.

And who did you send money to in order to help them get through MX?

They aren’t required to do that. That’s a misconception. The agreement is that we can deport them to the next country ( Mexico or Canada). There is no requirement that they apply for asylum in Honduras or Guatemala lol. But being as they have requested asylum AND are Venezuelan they were processed at the point of entry, detained, processed and released. Now they await hearings . EXACTLY as the law prescribes.
I have literally explained every aspect of the law pertaining to Venezuelans a half dozen times while Stout lol and Ham smear shite on the wall and refuse to answer simple questions.
Bottom line. People hate the process . I hate the process. But only idiots refute what is absolute fact. That’s just ideological zealotry. They did what was required to enter America LEGALLY through the asylum process.Thank God they are healthy after the unbelievable ordeal of that trip . I’m very very grateful for that. And we’ll find out what happens down the road. And the low information immigration- law deniers/ Rage bros will stay enraged .

Dude. YOU said in your OP that YOU paid coyotes. People pointing out that means you paid the cartels is just a factual response to your statement.

No. It may be a crime to pay a Mexican cartel to get them to the border.
