Fire near campus?

I’ve heard several explosions and see smoke from my backyard. Coming from Nicholson and Bluebonnet area.

Same. Thinking car accident and vehicle caught on fire and exploded. Last boom rattled my house. Saw an ambulance driving down bluebonnet toward Nicholson earlier before I heard the explosions.

It looks to be at the Nicholson and Bluebonnet intersection. My backyard looks directly that way. I heard two loud explosions and there was already a ton of smoke. I’m assuming a bad wreck and then a car/truck exploded. Lots of sirens but the smoke is dying down pretty quickly.

Smoke Coming from bluebonnet somewhere between Burbank and Nicholson. Still seeing Smoke, which to me would be odd if an auto accident. I also heard a boom from a ways away.

Just rode by it. It's in the field on the north side of the Bluebonnet Ext. Assuming a tractor or combine is on fire, no structures in that area.

There was a gas leak in that area a few weeks ago. Wonder if something like that happened again.

Just an FYI Lots of times house fires will create loud booms from propane tanks stored in garages, storage rooms, etc.

Nah, there's literally nothing in this spot but farmland, the leak was off Nicholson by the RR tracks. There's some farm equipment around the fire, the smoke was too thick for me to see exactly what it was, definitely something with a fuel tank.

Could very well be that. I had something similar happen near my house a few years back. A combine caught on fire and the tires exploded. It was much louder than I thought it could have been and burned for a while sending up black smoke.

I feel bad for that farmer. A used combine is a couple hundred grand nowadays.
