I can't see myself ever taking another vaccine of any kind. I used to believe the U.S. government cared about it citizens and tried their best to protect them. I do not believe that anymore. #frickthepowersthatbe

I usually get it every year, but if they start doing mRNA flu shots, I won't take those. Then again I'm old.

I recall an interesting fact about the Spanish flu. A lot of old people didn't get it or had very mild cases because they had had a similar flu in the late 1800's. Some of that immunity can evidently last a very long time.

The 1969 flu nearly put me down back when I was young.

To me the flu shot has a history and all so I’m not concerned a ton about it. In the past it was take it or leave it and when I had a brush with the flu then got severe pneumonia and bronchitis from it, I told myself I needed to take the flu shot moving forward. Circa 2022 I feel skeptical of taking one now. My concern isn’t about the flu shot as much as it concerned I might “accidentally” get a Covid shot.

I've only gotten one, and it was when they were begging us to get them to prevent a flu surge on top of covid. I should have realized there would be no flu epidemic, with so many folks isolating, but I had a weak moment, and anyway, my health is too robust to worry about viruses or vaccines.

I've only gotten the flu shot 3 times I think, and one of the years I got the shot I actually caught the flu which I've only had a couple of times. I thought I was going to die with the flu, they say the shot lessens the symptoms or shortens the duration of the flu...I cannot imagine feeling any worse than I did. I don't really have anything against the flu shot like the covid vax, but I doubt I'll ever get it again just because I don't think it really does anything.

Never have, except once - the one time I got the flu, and don’t plan to again.

I've gotten the flu 3 times in my life, and every time it was within 24-36 hours of getting the flu vaccine. Stopped getting the vaccine and never got the flu again.

Likely not .. the last time I got one was in 2019 PREcovid .. was told that if I didn't I'd have to wear a mask from October 1 to April 30 (I work in a ltc facility) so I took the damn thing.

NOW? I'm unvaxxed for covid so I still hav to wear an N95 so why the hell would I take a flu shot? I have to wear a mask anyway .. and masks work right?? Actually I don't wear it half the time .. it sits around my neck.
