With that said, I think I’m still a moderator there but I haven’t logged on in a very long time, and banned 1 person ever. I much prefer this board. Different strokes for different folks.

Any moderator can ban someone but it is reviewed by everyone. There is usually a debate as to why the person was banned and the banning either stands or is overturned.
Andrus is pretty hands off unless it’s something egregious. He rarely bans anyone and only occasionally chimes in. He’s a good dude. There are a lot of good dudes over there. This is just a better board for what I’m looking for. Oh, and I can tell someone to frick off in an impolite manner here, that too.

I agree on the layout. As far as rules, I haven't ran into any problems and I've been there many years. I guess my posts are pretty tame.

Holy shite. I just checked it out for the first time in about a decade and you guys are right about all of the ads. I used to live on that site while rarely posting, very similar to how I am here now and it was much different.
Didn’t they pride themselves on having no advertisements on the site? I actually contributed 10 or $15 a month out of appreciation for the work they did over there to help with that. Then I got warned for something stupid, canceled my monthly contribution, and never went back. I guess that’s why they have so many ads now.

It’s just moderated differently. This place is the neighborhood bar. That place is Sunday dinner with grandma. I prefer this place and I really don’t like being a moderator so I don’t frequent it.
The one guy I banned was a complete douche canoe and wholeheartedly deserved it. Usually I would just edit a post to make it more friendly and send out a PM, not an infraction. This guy started bellowing about me editing his free speech or something bullshite and after eleventy billion rounds of nonsense, I banned him.

Nah man, SR used to have legit insiders. Remember, as a mod I could see IP addresses, etc. and we vetted a few.
They had legit insiders. The board was also closely monitored by the organization. I know this for a fact. About that time, some of those insiders STFU lol.

BS. If you are critical of a saints player, you get warned. Next time banned. I got banned for arguing with a moderator on shitty signings we made. Got the old, they are saints now and we have to give them support in case they or family members are reading. I mean, Jesus Christ, they are adult professionals making millions.

You can be critical, but you can’t say things like, “Jameis sucks”. You can say, Jameis can’t read defenses well or Jameis does a poor job escaping the pocket.
That was the way we were told to moderate, particularly since the team monitored the board A LOT.
I’m not saying I agreed with the policy or not, but I saw the reasons why. I prefer this board for a multitude of reasons, but I’m not gonna shite on them about it either.

It wasn't just about the Saints. There's some legit retarded mods there. I had a poster want to literally fight me over a BS post I made that had zero to do with him. He just disagreed. I made it a point to piss that moron off. Mike something. POS. He never got banned but I did. If you don't agree with the majority on every topic, you are casted out. SharonT is the biggest count there is. Dan in Lafayette is equally as bad. When they got TDS, after Hitlery lost, they lost their collective minds. Place is a shite hole like NOLA.

Andrus wouldn’t dox someone and he’s a moderate. The majority of the mods are moderates, with some far left and far right guys on the fringes. I’m slightly right of center. I would bet most on there are slightly left of center or slightly right of center. It’s the squeaky wheels that get noticed.
