I am 65. Quit for 10 years. Went back to it for a year , then quit again, that was 17 years ago. It wasn’t that hard and I am happier and have extra money. Replace w new activities. If you want to talk 985-634-1931

It’s not the same, but if you like hops and miss that, there are some hops flavored sparkling waters now that are pretty decent. Didn’t know it was a thing until I had one in a restaurant recently. I haven’t ever seen it in stores, but you can find some online.

You can do it buddy. Not only will you lose a bunch of weight but you will feel 100x better. Slowly get yourself into the gym and exercise and lift. Also clean up your diet. I drink a kombucha everyday instead of beer. You can do it 1 day at a time !

I recently cut way back, just doing some NA beers during the week and maybe 1 or 2 regular beers on the weekend. Already in real good shape but the high BP got me nervous.

I cut back to just a couple beers during the week and a few glasses of wine and a few cocktails. Weekends about the same. But I hardly drink any beer at all anymore

As of last month I only have roughly 30% of the year available for me to drink alcohol. Probably a good thing for my health.

The drinking is A big problem if the doc is hounding you about it. My doc demanded I stop cussing so much a while back. I still let a muffled D or s slip out under my breath from time to time.

One day at a time. That was six months ago and my levels have dropped to the same place 30 year old astronauts are.

Moderation is the key to life.

Geez you don’t have to give up anything.
Unless you don’t have the strength/will power to live in moderation.

Glad I dont have that problem.

Everything you think you enjoy now, will get 1,000 times more enjoyable without the booze.
10 years and counting here.

September 14 will be 14 years sober for me. Best decision I ever made. Well…much like you there wasn’t much of a decision. It was quit or drink myself to death. I chose life…it turned into I life I could have never imagined.

It’s very very doable.
