Then I want a piece of this action too. My daughters both had TOPS, but my wife and I still paid several thousand per semester for fees, books, and other crap that TOPS did not cover. We cut back in some areas, and used credit cards for some things we would have otherwise paid, but in the end, our daughters both graduated (one with a Master's) with no student debt, and we paid off our credit cards.

So now, where is MY reward or stipend for acting responsibly and not making my girls take out loans? If I were speaking, my question would be delivered in a tone that conveys both sarcasm and anger. Sarcasm because I know I'm screwed and will get nothing, yet angry because I feel like I did it right, yet I'm still being punished.
