2022 Rivian R1T Uses its 36" Wading Depth to Launch a Boat at Bear Lake in Idaho

Normally people use highly modified vehicles or, more often, tractors to do this if they're brave enough to try it at all. I'm guessing this is a first for a Rivain, and I'd be surprised if the engineers even considered launching a boat from the a beach shore. Truly a good experience though.
Once I knew the R1T maximum water fording height was over 43 inches, I was instantly curious of whether I could launch my boat in Bear Lake Idaho.

So the cabin and doors are water-tight? The air intake and exhaust for the interior has to be somewhere, as well.

You guys act like you have never heard of an SUV with fording ability and that engineers aren't capable of dealing with water intrusion issues. Essentially all car doors are designed to seal and don't experience issues until the door handle is submerged. The air intake for most cars is at the base of the windshield. The biggest issue for most cars being flooded is the firewall area because there are often lots of holes through it and they all need to be sealed, they should be but cars without advertised fording ability might not have the design and manufacturing care given to sealing them.
The guy might be a little nuts doing this but it is the common way to launch and recover boats in that area of Bear Lake. Trucks and tractors are used regularly, You probably have watched a YT boat launch fail video with video from that exact same launch at some point.

This is almost as cool as the one rivian I saw towing a boat on a Saturday at high noon. Except instead of being at the lake the rivian was parked all cockeyed (boat trailer and all) in a Walmart parking lot so it could use a charging station. The wife and kids looked really pleased at the situation also.

If you're towing a boat from a R1T do you hang your truck nuts from the trailer or truck?
