Facebook and Instagram are LSU Alumni Dallas, if you're talking actually join, you select us as your affiliate chapter with the Alumni Association in Baton Rouge

Awesome. Definitely haven't been out Uptown since it got sketchy. Miss the good days there.
We were part of that group that made Eastwood's the "unofficial LSU Watch Party" bar and that was some good times.

It's gone downhill the past 6 or 7 years.

Why isn't the Dodie's on Lower Greenville an option any more?
I know its been a watch party center in the past and seems like a natural fit with the Cajun food options.

Dodie’s got to be too small for the groups we had in attendance. Also, parking was an issue.
Unfortunately DIBS had to close but we’re excited to welcome everyone to our new home at BlackFriar Pub in Lakewood, a stones throw from lower Greenville

by the way this place is in LEWISVILLE a whopping 22 miles from the center of Dallas and a 30+ minute drive from the parts of the city most people want to hang out for games.

Count yourself lucky.... the Shreveport-Bossier chapter is downright terrible. Went to my first event and introduced myself to 3 or 4 different people.....all tech grads. Sat at the bar and mingled for a couple hours never met a single LSU alum.... last year when LSU played tech in Bossier I sat a few rows behind one of the heads of the chapter...who was decked out in Tech gear taunting LSU fans when they were leading. Sad.

Shreveport chapter has needed some life in it for a while. My brother and his wife who are both alums haven't been to any of their events and my parents affilliated with the Western North Carolina chapter instead of Shreveport

Dodies Reef on Greenville
You do know the owners, who have no connection to LSU, took the Dodies name from a NOLA family who opened the original Dodies on lowest Greenville. They had to change their name to Charlie's Creole Kitchen when they lost the rights to Dodies in a court fight.

Not so much that it needs life as much as it's not what it advertises to be. It's not an alumni association chapter....its a group of friends from the region that like LSU football...as long as they aren't playing tech

Fair enough, when we went down to BTR for Chapter Summit I don't think they had anyone from Shreveport this year. Not surprisingly, Atlanta, Dallas and Houston had busloads of people

No, it didn't close. But the Houston Alumni Association moved the "official" watch party from there to Drift in the heights.

The president of the Dallas alumni association isn’t even an LSU grad….tells you everything you need to know.

I’m sure they can find a Raising Canes somewhere in the area.

It has, we discussed a couple of pages back but BlackFriar Pub in Lakewood is the new Dallas watch location. The one the OP mentioned is our "North" watch location.

Quit paying dues. Cook and watch the game at your house. Make an annual trip or two to Baton Rouge for a game. I’m not sure how much alumni association dues are but use that money for a trip to a game. Your kids will love it
