I posted a tweet literally relaying what Brian Kelly had said word for word.

Yes you did and others took that that Daniels took ALL the reps and MB took none. So I posted the other tweet saying daniels just took the most not all. Was nothing against your post.

I think they wanted clickbait and JD took “most” as in 51% rather than he took 91%. Because BK has stated it’s still a three man race. But you assume what you want.

But honestly, you know MB skillset more than any of the others. You need the others to prove what they can do better than the others.

How many rumors have been started on this site and have been fake? Others will swear “things changed” but rumors are rumors. We’ll see who starts in the dome.

If this is actually true, it may very well be the reason Vegas has the win total set so low.

Nothing against what you said.
I don't know I'm not at practice.
I just relay information based people who were there.

You may be totally right or totally wrong I have no idea. Of the people that were there the consensus is what was put 9ut in almost every tweet by different people.

Daniels took Nuss' reps? Doesn't sound too promising for Brennan.

I suspect that it's slightly more nuanced than that, in that when Daniels transferred Kelly/Denbrock assumed he would be the starter but either Daniels underperformed or Nussmeier exceeded expectations (hopefully it's the latter) enough to make things interesting, but yeah, Jayden has definitely been the favorite this whole time.

We'll see really soon. With all of the O-line shuffling and depth/injuries at WR it hasn't really mattered thus far, but as those positions (especially center) become set the reps with the actual first team will be very valuable (and scarce).

I think this is the correct post.
I think JD hasn't performed like they thought based on his off season workout with his feet.
Nuss has been better than people thought based off last year.
Brennan prolly has the most talent at throwing the ball but hasn't stepped up as leader like the coaches wanted so far.

Total guess on my part.

That's what I've tried to tell the geniuses on here, and I've been laughed at, cussed, and spit on.

Again, Daniels WOULD BE GUARANTEED TO START at almost half of the d-1 schools. He didn't come here to hold a clipboard, and was told he more than likely would start. Do I know this for sure? Of course not. But I can read the tea leaves. And I don't have a horse in this race. I've BLED P&G since 1977. I want the best of the 4 QBs to be under center, no matter who it is.

They have been trying to find a replacement for Brennan ever since he committed. First by trying to flip Tua, then by signing Burrow. Then the bad luck with injuries. He has a cannon for an arm but……….

I think that was the general thought and reasoning to bring him in, but it's pretty clear that Nuss has put a wrench in that. That's not to say Jayden won't win it, but it's more of an actual battle than I think was anticipated.

Exactly.

If Kelly was not legitimately interested in seeing how Nussmeier performed with the 1s, he would simply not give him many snaps with the 1s (like he's doing with Brennan).

Even outside of picking a starter, they've got decisions to make regarding whether they plan to give meaningful snaps to the backup in real games, and if so, how many.

If the rumor is true that he didn't throw with the receivers this summer then you can only come to one conclusion. Brennan did not want to win the job.

I didn't see this until recently when some people freaked out because some players took a vacation to Cali with Daniels. I have no idea how much each QB trains or practices, because I don't know them just like most people on his board. I do think this is a little overblown though. A picture gets posted here every time Brennan takes a trip to the camp for the weekend but you never see it posted when other players are out on vacation.

I think the most likely scenario is that Kelly and staff came in with no favorite and an open competition. Nuss and Daniels have more raw talent and athleticism that Brennan and are starting to separate themselves.

I'm just sitting here, patiently waiting for Nuss to be named the starter with Daniels having tons of packages a la 2007 Ryan Perilloux.

I think at this point that is what makes the most sense, considering Walker isn't playing this season save for garbage time so he doesn't burn his redshirt and Brennan seems to have fallen out of the race almost entirely from what reports/posts/tweets I've seen.

So, not necessarily a 2 QB system, more like a 1.5 QB system.
