Yea, they announced him 2-3 weeks ago I think. Don't know much about him.

A few of the signing bonuses are starting to show up on the Spotrac draft tracker for anyone interested.

However, looking at it now the numbers will not be accurate because they have slot value for picks 11-20 as 125K still when it is 150K. So those numbers will be off.

I'm assuming we will start to hear of a few names entering the transfer portal?

When does the next date to enter the transfer portal open? After the fall?

You can give it until Monday or Tuesday to see a few names still trickle in on this transfer window. I want to say for baseball the next window is Dec. 1st. I think that window is shorter. 15 days I think.

For the Cards(Cam Johnson) it's only off by 50k. They are dinging the Cards 50k in the bonus pool when they shouldnt.

Either way, the Cards have now signed 6 out of 19 draftees (that I have seen) and have yet to save any bonus pool money.

Their 9th round pick signed over slot. So far they have signed 6 of 20 draft picks and are $25,600 down toward the pool. Like you said, the 2 picks they are getting them for $25,000 each are actually zeroed.

Yeah, they're actually over their pool by about $25k since they went over on the 9th rounder.

On a different note, Aiden Moffett had another good outing in the Northwoods League last night. I watched him pitch an inning. I missed the first batter, who he walked. After that he was really good. The walked batter got to third on an error by the first baseman trying to field a nubber between 1st and 2nd. He then induced a ground ball that would normally be a double play, but after getting the first out at 2nd, the 2B threw home to stop the guy at 3rd from scoring. Next guy grounded out, but scored the runner at third. Next batter struck out, stranding a runner at 2nd.

So the line looks worse than it was because of the earned run. 1 IP, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 K. But the batting team never hit the ball in the air and never hit the ball out of the infield. He was pretty consistently in the strike zone. The K pitch was a 97 MPH fastball up that got the guy swinging. He tried to bury a breaking ball to get a swing, and while it had sharp bite it was just a touch too low to fool the batter. He didn't throw a ton of breaking balls, maybe 2 or 3.

He's coming along nicely and really starting to convince me he will be a contributor next year.

they didn't have a 2nd round pick, they only have 19. And Wooley oversigned by $24,400. Just small corrections.

Yeah, Willson Contreras cost too much money and too many years just with the actual contract.

But then you consider that signing him cost a second round pick and roughly $3MM of bonus pool it's even more asinine.

AND THEY DIDN'T frickING NEED HIM.

Did my daily Aiden Moffet watching.

Sat 94-96. Threw 3 breaking balls, all 3 were balls but only one missed badly.

First batter worked a 3-2 count and walked. Second batter dribbled one to the first basemen who made an error trying to get the runner at first, allowed to walked runner advance to third. Third batter chopped one to the third basemen on a 2-2 count, throw to first allowed the runner to score from third. Thought they would rule that an unearned run but they counted it as earned. Last batter struck out on a 1-2 count, 97 up in the zone.

The fastball is elite. 94-96, got it up to 97, with very good arm side run.

ETA: Project I didn't see your post lol my bad

Another name for the roster next year. Josh Pearce. Looks like a decent outfielder.

If we tracking the Jay follows as guys we have a good chance at another 24 name we’ve been on Ariston Veasey ranked 74th in the nation and putting together a good summer former Georgia commit

Just seeing that Braden Montgomery is headed straight to the Cape from team USA. He is on the YD Red Sox, which is the team that Paxton Kling and Micah Bucknam is playing for. Hunter Hines, who is from Madison like Braden, is on the Red Sox also.

Not that this means anything, but if you look at his IG follows and twitter likes...... A lot of LSU affiliation there. He liked the LSU Baseball tweet about Skenes being named Player of the year and then the tweet about the tv ratings for LSU in Omaha. I do not have any inside information on Braden, but I think LSU has a better chance than anyone is saying and him playing with Kling is perfect timing.
