As they should.
Should they, though? You just listed like 20 pitchers and how much deeper the staff will be. No guarantee Little or Coleman even pitch as much as they did this year, if at all. They may, but will it be enough to go that much higher to offset the bonus they would have gotten this year since they won’t have any leverage next year?
And right now, with as little as they pitched, Little being young for his class, and Coleman not being fully back from TJ, they’re all potential that could turn out to be great. What if they are just “meh” next year and teams see them less as what they could be and more as that’s just who they are?
I’m not saying I don’t want them back—I absolutely do—but it’s more about just having 2 more talented arms to throw against the wall and see who sticks than it is being confident they’ll grab prominent roles and be big pieces of the staff. I just think it’s a big gamble for them, and no matter what they’re saying now, it won’t be over until after the deadline. They have 2 weeks to really think this through. Obviously, I’ll pull for them whether they stay or go and hope they eventually have great pro careers.

Not sure what I am missing but they have some work to do. Lacks RHP big time. Holman would help but it’s not deeper yet

I doubt they were offered much money, so i dont think they have much to lose

It doesn't seem like that much of a gamble for Coleman. He wasn't a junior.

Plus we saw him perform well as a freshmen, we know its in there

I think if you add Holman that problem is taken care of. I think they are ok with RHP right now. Need a few of them to take a step up but we don't need any of them not named Hurd to be anything super special. Just need consistency from them. I know it doesn't consider actual production, but as the roster stands right now they will have 23 total pitchers (14 RHP and 9 LHP)
That is counting Chase Shores who will likely be out most if not all season.
Will need guys like Little, Bucknam, Moffett, Woods to step up and hopefully you can get Noot back healthy and he is everything we expected coming out of high school.

Lape from all accounts will have to redshirt
Vanek and Burch decommitted from LSU awhile back and never signed with LSU - that's old news

I heard the Moscona segment last week. The three players he mentioned not coming were Lape and two former commits: J. Burch from Delgado and J. Vanek.
Ah, thank you. So we already know he's flat out wrong on Lape.
He kept mentioning 11 incoming freshmen, so now we know he doesn't know how to count.

Tutko followed the Samford 1B

I believe Klein is visiting Florida and Kentucky this week. But, he's definitely been in contact with LSU.

Tell him to hit each coach in the junk on the way out.

You seem to be more familiar with the kid than most. Do you think he has the potential to tap into a little more power? Say maybe 12-15 HR. Looking into his stats a little more it looks like he is really good defensively and the dude gets on base. 2 years with Samford and his OBP is .452. Doesn't strike out much and gets hit a lot. Jay loves those guys that get hit.

Alls I know is, if you’re a transfer from Samford, you rake. Want.

this is the most confusing thing..I wanna know how ppl know who his gf is because he doesn’t have any posts on any of his social media with a girl. I see no information about any beach volleyball transfers from LSU to Texas. The only person on LSU roster from Mississippi is clearly dating someone else lol

Write it out. Some of these guys weren't even on the postseason roster. And they couldn't pitch most of the other ones because they were not very good all year; despite losing 3 RHP to injuries (Taylor/Edwards/Shores). These dudes still couldn't factor in.
-Hurd
-Guidry
-Woods
-Holman
-Dutton
-Collins
-Noot
-Bucknam
-Moffett
-Applebee
-Hellmers
-Little

I thought Noot was hurt as well? He absolutely has the talent to get innings.
Posted on 7/13/23 at 8:26 am to MrJimBeam

Noot was hurt
There are just a lot of unknowns. It’s just not overly deep in my opinion.
I felt better coming into this year with Skenes/Hurd/Edward/Taylor/Floyd & the big freshmen class of arms. We were all high on Little too yet when guys got injured & little & Hurd did not pitch well, they were able to sustain. The guys they sustained with will mostly be gone or not available as well.
