Hasn't the window already closed for him to transfer and play elsewhere this year? or is the rule different for a grad transfer? He also has several NIL deals that may or may not contractually obligate him to stay put. Not to mention the season starts in less than 3 weeks. Where is he gonna go and be able to start with essentially no time with his new team?

The NIL thing is probably the only thing that would prevent him from leaving. Justin McMillian transferred to Tulane a week or two into fall camp when Joe got here so its not unprecedented as I'm sure some small school like a Tulane or southern miss would take him

makes everything look so easy but doesn’t have the experience.

Nuss has great potential with his quick release and how powerful his arm is, but during the Arkansas game last year, he was inaccurate on a lot of underneath stuff, so it wasn't like it was effortless for him. Now chucking it anywhere on the field seems easy for him even on the run. If he can combine accuracy with his throwing ability, then he could be a dangerous QB.

A lot of what Jordy is saying is based on the spring. Jordy has said many times this summer that Nuss won more of the practices during the spring.

Jordy is fully on the Nuss bus. I have no idea how it will go, but I would be concerned with Nuss lack of in game experience.

He did say that he believes lsu can win games with Myles and he has a future in the nfl as a backup,
I really don't get why people keep saying this. he's started what, three games? He's got a strong arm but isn't mobile, it's not clear if he can read defenses, and he's injury prone. What are people seeing that makes this such a common assertion?

The fact that he has stuck around at LSU for so long. That's it.

Really don’t want another athlete that can’t pass the ball effectively because of “muh dual threat”
last year at ASU, Jayden Daniels completed 66.2% of his passes, which was 27th best in the nation. Oh, and ran for 710 yards.

So if the race has come down to Nuss and Daniels, it's probably because CBK isn't feeling very good about the OL, which would make sense because he has indicated this.

I don't think CBK can feel good about the o line. Campbell is an all world talent but still a freshman LT in the SEC. They are even talking about playing the other freshman lineman. I hope they have improved but oline is a huge question mark.

Lsu seems like they are going to need a guy that can escape the pocket to have any success this year.

This is going to sound harsh, but backup qb’s don’t really do anything but hold a clip board and that’s what Myles is good at - being a backup. His job would be to come into the game in mop up duty and not really do anything too Important, you’re not asking him to win anything

because he wears purple and gold.

If Myles Brennan was Joe Smith at SomewhereElse Univeristy, not a single person on this board would say he's going to make an NFL roster. Not a single one.

This is so untrue that it borders on trolling. Jimbo and Lincoln were the guys and when they declined, we threw a hail mary for BK and cuaght it. Don't get it twisted.

Pretty obvious to me that it is a 2 man race between Daniels and Nuss.

I think Daniels gives you not just mobility, but HR capability from the QB position with his feet. This kid can run better than any LSU QB I can recall. He must be a legit 4.5 guy. With a shaky OLine this cannot be understated. He also gives you by far and away the most experience at the position. I'm not sure how tough he is mentally. That Cali lifestyle out there doesn't exactly harden most people. I think coaches are hoping to see him be able to complete a high percentage of his passes this camp. If he does he is the guy.

Having said that, Nuss gives you a little more in the passing game and he is mobile enough to make plays with his feet behind a shaky Oline. He seems to have that "it" factor over Daniels IMO. I love his leadership qualities. I'm sure coaches just want to see if he can make good decision with the football and limit int's.

If I had to bet on it today, I think Daniels gets the start vs FSU. If Daniels struggles in the scrimmages throwing the ball and Nuss lights it up with minimal turnovers then he may win out.

He had several NIL deals at the time he previously entered the portal, I don’t think that would prevent him from leaving this time either

but right now Daniels and Nuss have separated themselves in this qb race

There haven't been enough practices for this to happen.

If it's true, it's because Myles lost the job in the offseason. He (like all of them) needed to live in the building preparing for the season. If he's been eliminated (or just put behind the others), he didn't do that.

This is all speculation. It's a LOT more likely that Jordy doesn't know what he's talking about.
