He is going to hold rallies filling up literal NBA arenas for the next two years. 50-70k. Google a picture of how many people were in DC January 6. And I’m not talking about at the capitol. Washington monument.

Over a million easy.

TRUMP will never admit guilt, because he is NOT GUILTY!

For 7 years now they have chased the ghost....and they got nothing!

He explained his stance on the 5th. He even mentions that he used to think a certain way but now understands why that thinking was wrong.

As always with the guy, he only comprehends the world through his narcissistic lens.

When other people plead the fifth, they must be guilty.

When he has to plead the fifth, all of a sudden he understands why he was wrong.

I'll wait for his apology to those he attacked for pleading the fifth.

Pleading the fifth is about self incrimination. It doesn't matter whether it was a civil or criminal investigation. By pleading the fifth you are asserting that your words could be used against you in a criminal trial.

In fact, one could argue that pleading the fifth in a civil case is a bit more suspect because the person being questioned is the one making the leap from civil to criminal.

All of that said, unlike Trump, I don't assume guilt from someone who pleads the fifth. There is a good video on youtube which basically argued, innocent or guilty, you should never talk to investigators. He gave several examples of how an innocent person could put himself at risk. One was if he misremembers something which if uncovered would make him appear guilty. Another was if provides accurate information that he was in fact in the city the night the person was murdered. There were others.

Have you ever been wrong in your lifetime? Ever changed your stance on anything after personal interactions?

Exactly. We all do it. So get off your high horse

Yes, but this is a repeated pattern with Trump.

You can believe that Trump simply had a moment of enlightenment. I don't.

But I will say, if I had a similar legitimate moment of enlightenment, the first thing I would do is offer an apology to those I previously attacked.

Most of us are tired of apologizing.

Him quoting what he did today, the way he did it basically saying "I know I once said this but now I know the answer" is as close to someone's saying they were wrong.

And you would think that people that hated someone would look at that as a plus, that someone can change. But no, your want a handwritten "I'm sorry".

It's petty shite

So you don't apologize to people you wronged because you are tired of apologizing?

I will also point out that unlike in a criminal trial, Trump pleading the fifth can be used against him in the civil case. A jury is allowed to assume the worst when someone pleads in a civil case.

A bit off-topic but it is an interesting side note.

Um who got wronged?

I used to be pro choice. Then I had my daughter and now I'm prolife. I'm not apologizing to those on either side of that argument just because I changed my stance... Based off of my personal experience. Is that hard to understand?
