Not a bad year for music, and the last full year in which the world existed (if you can even call it that) before that certain musical masterpiece performed by the young Rick Astley in 1987.
I listened to everything I could find back then, but hair metal and country music were predominant in the dairy barn where I worked, so I have an affinity towards the two extremes of the musical spectrum from that era. Depending on the day, I was either working with the older dairy owner (country) or his older teen sons (hair metal). Either way, I was just a kid who didn't get a vote in the barn's radio broadcast.
