BREAKING: ?

This is what they sent us…

Good riddance, Buku was the worst of all the fests around here in terms of music and the type of crowd it attracts, but it's really speaking volumes to the city of New Orleans when you have two major festivals (Voodoo and Buku) taking hiatus' along with not knowing if they will return in the future.

I don’t think that’s the right way to look at it… who gives a shite what the music sounded like? It brought people to town, and made them spend their money

That festival sounds like a monkepox superspreader

Believe this usually takes place at the power plant correct? Same place where the guy just fell to his death?
Not too surprising since Riverfront District is taking over that area

Exactly what I meant even with the wrong connotation of the word
the city just keeps fricking itself

Buku was never my thing.
VooDoo was awesome for a very long time.
Went to the last one they had in 2019.
I really hope that wasnt the last one ever.

Why do they misspell "Beaucoup"?

Had no idea this fest existed and thought it was calling one particular upcoming event “bukkake fest”.

Bufu is still on for the next swingers’ convention.

Buku Fest?
Is this where they perform the Unga Bunga? No wonder it’s not popular.

Is the Bukkake fest still on though?

Buku couldn't get assurances from the NOPD that they would be able to adequately provide security for the event and without security the insurance companies pulled the plug on the event is what I'm hearing.

It's a bad trend. Rock n Roll marathon just announced it's not returning to NOLA either. The race was kindof cheesy but it brought a lot of people here and was one of the better running venues for the Rock n Roll brand.
Not surprisingly, the event organizers cited an unwillingness of local government officials to work with them as the reason for leaving.

BUKU has always been fun
Regardless of whether you like it or not
- Voodoo fest gone
- Rocknroll marathon gone
- BUKU fest gone
…. I mean New Orleans is nothing but food and festivals…..
And it seems like festivals are dwindling because the government headed by Destroya can’t make certain assurances
