I think there is a huge group that missed a lap.

I’d put that group behind all of the guys that finished 5 laps.

The only other option is a DQ.

They told them they were done. You can't DQ them for that. The first two guys were clearly in 2nd and 3rd if they missed a lap. I don't see how you punish them for the officials telling them they were done. Especially the one dude that finished "second." you could see him try to run back out and they turned him around.

Koski possibly did a 6th lap. Best women’s time was 38 and change and the first 2 men were in around 34?

If he did, he should be elevated to 1st in the event due to poor direction.

That was my first thought. The times seemed about right for 5 laps, but they were riding pretty fast so hard to tell. Either way, only the first guy really fricked up. The second dude tried to run back out and they turned him back to the finish. He shouldn't be punished for that.

If it was a judging error, bump him up.

Scores are listed with Koski 4th. He was either passed by 3 guys or fricked up and did a 6th mile; probably a 6th mile.

Friends over at Westchase were 6th in the 1st heat of teams E1. They were bumped up when two teams failed drug tests (or other DQ) at the MACC.

Looking at Leaderboard, you have to think Kioski went an extra lap?

Yeah. I think he did.

Announcers added to the confusion by not knowing what lap he was on.

I wasn't paying attention either. That sucks. That was an easy win for him

Koski won the first event last year easily doing the swim/kayak. I think he had to go to the Wildcard Open just to get in this year

Just got a text from my Westchase friend that 5 guys did not complete the final lap, so the issue may not be resolved.

With the rain delay, they have plenty of time to fix it if they did miss the final lap.

Can the girls just count better or did the field judges fall asleep during the men's event?

Should have made it easier with two 2.5 mile loops.

Morning chalk up has said it’s still fricked up in their latest IG post.

Gerard’s coach said Ricky passed Koski on the final lap and both Panchik & Dukic both missed a lap.

Looking at the Morning Chalk Up. Danielle Brandon skipped a lap too. Cotler doing a nice job of denial

The adjusted it for the Men and Women.

Panchik and Dukic were moved to 5th and 10th and Gerard and Koski are now 1-2. So, Gerard did pass Koski, but the announcers didn’t notice because they were too busy talking about the 1st 2 guys skipping a lap to notice.

The added 3+ min to both Panchik and Dukic (basically a lap) and adjusted the rankings where those times fell.

Danielle Brandon was adjusted as well and she’s now 27th on the Women’s side. I think she was 12th during the event before the adjustment.

Team Event 1 Heat 2 just smashed the entire Heat 1 field.

Weather delay of 2 hours and now 71F. Wet turf and cooler temps/lower humidity definitely helped.
