I need new tm batteries. 36v. Gonna stay with 3 x 12v so it is easy r&r install. On a 2200 pathfinder, what Ah batteries would I need. I am not sure how much anchor mode / spot lock will draw down the charge.

Yes.

I have 100AHr Relion and I’ve never come close to running out of battery. Even on multi day trips

That's what I'm running as well as my brother who is a guide. No issues at all with our Ionics.

Hmmm. i would go 100ah myself.

That will get you 36v 100ah.

ETA: Although with Lithium you can use more of the AHs then Lead Acid so 50ah may be OK.

3 60ah relion batteries. I just had relion customer service come through in a big way. I’ll be buying from them for life now

I bought my batteries from Alibaba. I got 3X 80ah batteries for a 23ft bay boat and those could go a full 3 day weekend without running down with heavy trolling motor use. If you do your homework you can get the same batteries being sold by the US based sellers for 1/3 the price. The DIY solar forums are a good place to find who makes what battery, because nobody is making them in the US.

If I had to do it again, I would get a brand with some sort of monitoring system like Bluetooth or a meter on the case. I have no idea how low I draw my Amped batteries down.

I bought 2 RB 60ah batteries. I checked shipping 10 days later and they never ended up making a label. I emailed relion and they said they no longer had 60ah’s but they would priority ship 2 RB 75ah’s for no extra cost.
My skiff builder recommended them after they took the time to go visit their shop. Like I said before, they have a customer for life now.

Agree, the BMS with app connectivity is a must.

You can pick up a lithium capacity meter off Ebay pretty cheap and add it to the battery. Never used one but they are out there.

A BMS with Bluetooth would be nice in this application.

I have 3 50ah Ionics for almost two years. They have been great so I can recommend them. On an average 8 hour day I usually have 75% left on them. Once I fished in a gale where the spot lock ran non-stop for 5 hours. Still had 30%. That trolling motor never stopped turning. Blue tooth is very useful.

Been researching this, and it seems that if it's not a shunt type system, it's not very helpful. I actually have one of those and will try to install it this weekend. The part that confuses me the most is the fact that there is no way to run both charger banks through the shunt. I posted in the tech board about it - no response yet. Pretty good video on YouTube that covers every aspect of the shunt system except the charging part.

Besides being able to see the charge level, what do u actually DO with the Bluetooth info? Are you making some kind of adjustments based on the info?

Bought a 24V, 100aH for my 80lb Terrova. I didn't want the extra weight, not to mention all the room it would take up in my center console. Been running for 2 years now and it's been the shite!

With the higher end ones you can set the charge/discharge points along with monitoring the status. May be other features also.

Blue tooth lets you see each cells health, number of cycles, voltage and temp. There may be something else but I don't remember at this moment.
