Some Myrtle Beach restaurants now hold your ID while you eat

Some Myrtle Beach restaurants along Ocean Avenue are now requiring a credit card and ID, such as a driver’s license, to hold onto before you can sit down to eat.
One restaurant, RipTydz Rooftop Grille & Bar, implemented this policy earlier this year according to general manager Dave Goodbread.

Another restaurant, Beach House Bar and Grill, enforces this policy with the summer season in order to keep people from dining and dashing.
“We have a big problem during the summer months with a lot of people walking out on their tabs,” Cameron Van Buren, a manager, said. “If they are not comfortable with that option, we have a “pay as you go” option. You can just order things, and it’s like grabbing a drink and then paying for your drink as soon as you get it.”

Sad state of society if this is such a big issue that we have to develop new policies to combat it.

Wish they would implement that here in some places. Mofo gypsies love to dine and dash.

I remember a time when a man could pump gas without paying. The degenerates ruined that too.

Democrat-proofing your dining system. Good job.

Washington post has a headline imbedded in the article about charging white people when they call 911 on black people. ??????

The Low Country is generally a really cool place. Except for Myrtle Beach. It's trashy and ghetto

Myrtle Beach ain’t part of the Lowcountry, hoss…

I would be a little pissed if asked but I completely understand why it needs to be done. Should have tasting options to prevent the dems from wanting meals comped after consuming also

They don’t call it the Dirty Myrtle for nothing.

Where does it stop then? Because Georgetown/ Pawleys Island area certainly claims to be low country. And they're right down the road from Myrlye Beach....

I feel it's racist to require someone to have an ID to eat at a restaurant.

Culturally the low country starts in Georgetown and goes south to Amelia Island in FL. Essentially where all the rice plantations were.
The grand strand likes to take claim but they would be wrong.
Geologically it starts at Bulls Bay and stretches south to Amelia Island, FL.

So you wouldn't consider Murrels Inlet in the Low Country? They sure do
