Absolutely! I have posted similar myself and also earlier today made a post asking who is going to call these liars out for this shite where it actually matters? These damned idiots run their mouth, make these specious claims, and are virtually never held to account for the garbage they spew.

I think GumboPot did this thread a few days ago. As I said then, I am way too stupid to understand climate change science. And, even if it's man-made, you better get China and all the other filthy countries on board with any remediation.

BUT, I 100% stand by the peak oil energy doom. Where is the spare energy capacity, boys?

In AOC'S defense, she doesn't know what year 2019 plus 12 is.

Also need Al Gore’s 10 year doomsday prediction.
Yeah I remember the ozone hole thing when I was a kid, they even had me a little scared to walk outside.

It's so ridiculous now. They are just trying to freak out kids. Tell 'em acid rain, that'll scare em. Make 'em write reports on it and get em all freaked out out.

The Earth's climate is always changing. To pin it all on man is the issue I have a problem with, esp. considering the timeline presented by the OP - boy cried wolf comes to mind.

Thanks for that timeline

I wish we had a list of the proclamations and those that said them.

I can remember the 70’s and the warnings.
If we didn’t recycle; drive more efficient vehicles; and stop using aerosol, we were doomed. The warnings never stopped but the consequences never materialized.

After decades, it wears you out and start to question their science. At what point is the science right? They can’t answer that

Eventually they might be right.

And all the failed predictions will be forgotten.

Don’t forget every year since 2009 that the economy is about to crash and we are headed into a major depression

This goes beyond 50 years.

The government is tormenting the oil industry. Voluntarily capping hydrocarbon energy is not “peak oil”, it’s peak idiocy.

These could still be true based on the ice cores. Warm eras are relatively short and ice ages are long.

Perhaps, global warm got here just in time to prevent the next ice age!

Never said that. We’re talking about the failed scare-tactic predictions, that even got me worked up as a child.

Well, LSD was pretty popular in the late 60s.
