That seems pretty hard to believe
8/10 on paper with a handgun in a random field would be impressive from 40 yards. In that situation? Was the dude Jason Bourne?

A book of the bible was named after him.

They updated out to approximately 30 yards. Still absolutely studly under pressure
Either he works a job where the adrenaline is constant or he was closer to 10 yards. I'm jealous as frick I can't come close to that accuracy at 10.

If he shoots competition he is going to be in practice. Red dot would make it easier. Curious what his setup was.

Let this guy loose on the streets of chicago
Posted on 7/19/22 at 11:58 pm to HailHailtoMichigan!
That's impressive. Holy shite I just seen that this happened in 15 seconds.

Have they mentioned what brand and model pistol he was using? Probably could get a sponsorship or commercials!

Forget the range distance and precise target that he had. More importantly, the kid had quick judgement and a swift reflection to decide in less than 10 seconds, to take this guy down and kill him. I mean, no fkn' hesitation whatsoever. Get him a job with the SWAT team.
I mean if you're packing and a shooting goes down, what else are you going to do? You're going to unload on the guy.

Even if he's at 30 yards, and only hit him a couple times, then unloaded on him after he was down, it's still and incredible shot considering the perp was likely moving fast into the bathroom and the hero's adrenaline was probably through the roof.
I also don't think people understand just how much your shot has to change at 30+ yards away with a damn pistol. The bullet rise at that distance is incredible.
At 50 yards, you basically have to aim at a perp's waistline or balls to hit him center mass because of the initial rise of the projectile out of the gun.
At 30-35 yds, the bullet will probably still rise 5-6 inches at least at your point of aim.
This dude either had one hell of a competition style setup with a comp on his pistol and a red dot, super trigger, etc, or he he put in some serious range time with his carry piece. Either that, or he was just the luckiest shot ever.
I'm going with the middle option. Even if he had, say a Glock 19 instead of 3"sub compact, it's still an incredible shot in that kind of chaos.
He could have been ex military if he enlisted at 17 or 18 and just got out at 22, but that's probably not the case. More likely, he was probably raised shooting all sorts guns from the time he could hold one.
Whatever ethe case, there are millions of guys just like this walking around every day and nobody has any clue.
There's also a reason why almost every time an active shooter tries something like this in a non-gun free zone in a deep red state, he gets taken out by a carrying citizen.
If this had taken place at a school or in California or Chicago, they death toll would have been stunning.

Whatever ammo you are using is defying the laws of physics, might want to get something else.

He’s also 22. His courage and assertiveness are impressive, and heaven-sent, given those circumstances.
